Privacy Policy

Registration Information.

MyAsianFashion is a social networking website for Asian Fashion lovers. To make this possible, each member has to create an account (profile). The profile contains member information that the he/she wishes to include.

What we collect in the registration:

  • username: we want to protect your privacy as much as possible by just registering a username. It is up to the user to user his/her actual name
  • password: must be at least 6 characters to prevent unauthorized used.
  • Email: we need a valid email address to confirm that you are a PERSON not a computer and/or robot.

    • We do not send spams or sell email addresses.

  • Gender: gender will be used for statistics purposes.
  • Location: we would like to know what country MyAsianFashion gets the most hits.
  • City: This is not mandatory.
  • State: U.S.A members only
  • Zip
  • Date of Birth: to confirm that you are at least years 16 or older
  • Profile image: not mandatory but useful. Most of the time, members would like to add, view, or become friends with other members with profile pictures.

    • Other Information.

    MyAsianFashion collects email addresses for the purpose of sending confirmation emails, and authenticating user accounts. Please be aware that your profile may be viewed by non members. Please do not post any personal information on MyAsianFashion blogs or forums. Our web logs collect standard logs including IP address, sections viewed, and time.

    Public Profile Information.

    Each members have the option to change their own privacy settings.

    Members can:

  • Allow only friends to view their profile
  • Allow only friends to post comments
  • May or may not allow HTML on their guestbook comments

    • However, if you wish to have your profile viewable, your profile will be available to any user (of MyAsianFashion) and visitors.

    You can change your privacy settings by logging in, then go to your Account settings page. Under Account settings you will see 3 check boxes (vertically aligned) and it will contain descriptions of privacy settings you wish to choose.

    Links

    MyAsianFashion includes links from third party advertisers, partners, and/or members. We are not responsible for the third party's privacy policy. Please note that when you leave MyAsianFashion you are bound to regulate the privacy policy and terms of the other website. Our Privacy Policy is ONLY applicable to MyAsianFashion.

    Cookies

    A cookie is a small text file on your computer's hard drive that makes your browsing experience faster and more convenient. MyAsianFashion uses cookies on its website. Cookies are used to identify your internet browser, preferences and other software needed to access MyAsianFashion materials. Third Party online advertisements contain cookies set. MyAsianFashion does not control third party cookies.

    Display of user information

    Member's information such as username and/or email may be displayed under the following circumstances:

  • Member invites a friend via email to become a member.
  • Friend request from members
  • Notifications from classifieds, groups, events, weekly updates or other news about MyAsianFashion services
    • MyAsianFashion may use your email address to promote new services, updates, and policies (which are all internal use).

    Third Party Advertisers

    Advertisements that appear on MyAsianFashion are delivered by third party advertisers. When an ad appears, the third party advertisers automatically receives your IP address. They can also download cookies to your computer, in this way they may they may complied information, and determine what ads have been clicked. With this information, they can deliver a more targeted advertisement.

    Invitation Service

    If you choose to invite a friend to our website, we will need information (such as email address) to send them an invitation. You may send up to 5 invitations in one session. If you click the refresh button, another 5 invitations will show.

    Circumstances in which we will release information

    MyAsianFashion may disclose information if required by law or in belief that it is necessary to do legal process (e.g. court orders, subpoenas), Content that violates the rights of third parties, Protect the rights, properties and personal safety of MyAsianFashion and the users and/or visitors.

    Security

    MyAsianFashion handles member's information with great care. Member's account information is password-protected. Member's password has to have at least 6 characters in order to make it difficult for hackers, unauthorized user to gain access. We advice that you do not use words from the English dictionary. Please make it to the point that you use numbers, upper and lower cases.

    You can choose to receive emails from the following:

  • Comments Posted
  • New mail messages
  • New forum replies
  • New Friends request

    • You can do this by logging into your account, go to your Account settings.

    Changes in our Privacy Policy

    From time to time, we may need to add, alter and/or change our Privacy Policy. If we change our privacy policy we may or may not notify the members of the change on the website.
