The last book in full I read was My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Focault, and I'm glad I bought it. My favourites include The Count of Monte Cristo, A.M.Montgomery's The Story Girl, J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings trilogy (and its companion books), and F.H. Burnett's A Little Princess and The Secret Garden. Closer to home I love F.H. Batacan's Smaller and Smaller Circles and anything by the late, great Nick Joaquin as well as the great F. Sionil Jose. I obviously lean towards the classics and intelligent fiction.
