I'm thinking Bodyline, but I don't want to spend 20+ dollars on a petticoat that doesn't effectively puff my dress up/breaks easily. Can you please recommend an online site that has good quality petticoats?
Thanks~

I'M INTERESTED.
I know one can't really find "cheap" and "effective" lolita items, but it's always worth a try. :s

Candy Violet is amazing~ I love it ^-^

Oddly enough, what I do is have a really flat pathetic petticoat meant for a smooth look, and put a VERY fluffy short tutu under it, it poofs it up big and bell-shaped, then smooths it out ^-^ I also wear bloomers(tutu's are skritchy)

This seller from ebay.

We had some long email conversations about pettis and she is really nice. She orders the pettis from a very famous petti company that has been making pettis since the 1950s. You are also able to change the layers, the length, that color and so on. She's really great to discuss with :) And they won't change anything for the custom. I myself is going to order a petti here soon i think :)

have you tried making your own? there are patterns for them, and if you buy the fabric on sale you could have a custom petticoat, not to mention it would be alot cheaper.

It's really hard to make them both huge, poofy and light at the same time. I've tried make petties and it didn't work out. The more poof you add to make it poofy, the heavier it gets. And heavy petti is not nice. So I borrowed an awesome light poofy squaredance petti from a friends mom and then i went to a tailor and asked him to do one for me. He said it was to complicated, he didn't have the right machine to do it. I got quite confused. If a tailor doesn't have the right machine, then who does..? (certainly not me)

I can know fur sure, but I wouldn't buy it. The thing about this tulle or "net" is - either it's stiff and it itches like hell, will shape your skirt for about two weeks and then it's getting soft and completly flat and worthless. OR - it's soft tulle from the start, which doesn't itch but won't give you any poof either.

Tulle is very warm to carry too. Great in winter, awful in summer. It looses the shape so quickly. I ended up adding a new layer every time it got flat, but its just more and more fabric in the end and it gets heavier and heavier to carry and almost no poof at all.

A petti made of this fabric is much better in my opinion. Try find one with not so many layers if you're not looking for so much poof. The fabric is VERY light to carry and it won't loose the shape, ever! ^^
