Hey guys. I'm new and I ADORE japanese fashion. I love the fact it is so individual :)

However, I have some problems trying to get hold of Japanese Fashion because I live in the UK and my dad won't let me buy from overseas.

I have found a few sites with some really kawaii clothes that dispatch from the UK, but not all the clothes are in my size. I have looked at ebay aswell.

If anyone knows any sites with Japanese Fashon based in the UK, please reply and let me know.

It would be really great if I had some more choice :)

Thanks guys xx

I don't mean to completely rule out stores(I do not like in UK so I wouldn't know of any stores sorry) However I make my own Lolita because I'm on a VERY slim college budget that nearly restricts me to just buying food and occasionally a ticket for a convention or meet-up. Sewing is easy for me, but I am wondering if it is easy for you? or even mildly easy? If so you should also try to make your clothes ^-^

As far as im aware theres a lolita shop down in Brighton and theres some lolita / visual kei-ish shopsin Camden in London, in Manchester theres Tokyo Royale who do have a website and deliver, They sell a few cute things there or if your near there I'd recommned actually going in to the physical store as they have more choice (its in afflecks palace).  Apart from that Im not too sure about other kinds of Japanese fashion, this is just the stuff i personally am interested in, you could also try sales comms on LJ such as the EGL_sales one and buysecond hand, you could just ask for sellers from the UK.  hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies :)

@Lolita_Tobi - yeah, I do sew and customise my clothes but I have never actually made an actual piece from scratch. But yeah, I'll have a go :)

hmm I was going to say the same as xcrimsonstarx, other than the shops already listed I can't really add more.

I'm not a huge fan of some of the stuff you can find there though, I've been wearing lolita style for a long time so i'm starting to get an eye for quality garments...
but I have not yet found a shop in the UK that used really good materials or lace.

have you looked at minky shop on ebay? she sells some wonderful japanese importstuff there and she is based in UK however some items do ship fromoverseas.

depending on what particular style you're looking for I might be able to point you in the right direction. (i'm more of a sweet lolita than anything)

The brand doesn't matter, It's how you wear it!

Yea I totally agree, the quality of the stuff from UK shops is terrible, I really only buy jeans and accessories from UK shops now, all my other stuff comes from the internet.

I have found some online stores myself:

www.hardtofindcoolstuff.co.uk

www.cutejapanesefashion.co.uk

They dispatch from the UK aswell so the postage isn't a ridiculous amount :)

Hope you find some kawaii things on there :)

Hey Sophie!

I understand your troubles, living in the UK it took me a long time to find the places where I could get my kawaii fashion fix! These places are hard to come by. I'm glad that you've opened this thread tho, so that us Brits can get together a bunch of links and addresses for places that will stock the stuff we love!

Apart from the others already suggested, a few places I know are:

Chicki
Thunder Egg
Tokyo Jazz Panda

They're all online stores that specialise in kawaii style. They're better for buying fashion accessories rather than clothes, but they're always changing they're stocks so cool clothes items do come up from time to time... so definitely worth keeping your eyes on these places.

I don't know where in the UK you live, but if you're up north then you can visit the real Thunder Egg store in the Northern Quarter in Manchester. It is an absolute kawaii wonderland in there! So much more choice in store than online. Tokyo Jazz Panda is also a real store which is in Chester. I've not managed to go check it out so far... when I do I'll make sure I report back!

I'm cute, cuddly, decorative, and I'll go with any outfit you're wearing. Buy me!
