Use of 3D in the 3D movie: 1/5
The adaptation is good; it´s a nice movie. If you have seen the series, like I have, certain things will grate on you (such as the fact that the actors that play Katara and Sokka are Caucasian), but overall, it´s a good adaptation. Stuff is shortened or glossed over, blah blah blah, but hey, it´s a whole bunch of episodes condensed into lewss than 2 hours!
However, if you´re going there to see it as 3D movie, like me, you expect that, since you´re paying extra, you´ll get cool effects and stuff, especially when you consider all the battle scenes that could be ultra-cool, with water and flames and clods of earth going towards the spectator. Instead, you get a movie that is exactly like a regular one, with maybe one or 2 seconds of 3D action. Seriously, I got more 3D stuff in the pre-movie commercials!
