I'd like to buy some baking things like colorful flakes, sprinkles and such, but baking supplies in sweden are extemly limited. silver pearls is like the only thing available for decorations -.-
I tried to search for a swedish onlistore for baking supplies and I almost died when I saw the prices. Anyone knows a god online store to buy baking supplies?
I'm also looking for a place to buy chocolate. The chocolate used in pralines can't be bought at the supermarket and the recipe book just said "special stores and online stores" but I couldn't find any swedish onlinestore selling chocolate -.-
sweden is not exactly baking country no 1 -.-

"It's all in my head" I said, banging a piano 'I've not been so alone' I thought, 'since kicking in the womb' I drank so much tea, I wrote my letters in kanji Around the block I walked, and walked, pretending you were with me...

actually swedish chocolate is very different from the rest of the world, it's so sweet it's almost disguisting, not suitable for pralines. It's possible to buy "bake chokolate", but my recipe book said I should use something finer, a guessed transaltion could be "coat chocolate" or something..

oh, i have never seen a citygross! I must locate one! When you mentioned it I came to think of Lidl... When I lived in Germany they had a lot of more interesting baking supplies, maybe if I'm lucky I could find them there..

Here's their homepage: http://www.citygross.se/ When I go there, I get a pop-up telling me which cities they have stores in. :3 They're great, they have everything. :S
Lidl's got a lot of good stuff too! You can always look. :D

hmm.. pralines are those chocolates thats hard outside but has a soft chocolate filling inside? or not? i dont know about any online store or stores from Sweden sorry :( the thing about coating chocolate is that its not as rich as normal chocolate plus it has cocoa butter so it hardens fast.. its similar to those used for chocolate fondue / chocolate strawberries~~

Thats the opposite of the U.S. In the U.S. its hard to find silver balls but colored sprinkles is all they have and it got really boring because they lack in metallic sprinkles but here in Japan they have both but in really really small quantities (expensive).

i was talking about marabou. I actually learned in school once, marabou isn't even chocolate, it's too little chocolate in it to be called chocolate, but they got a special permission to call it that way. same thing with kaviar, since our kaviar isn't kaviar at all...

No, I meant butterflyranmao. xD I wasn't aware people knew Sweden by our chocolate, since we're not really famous for it. I assumed it was a Sweden/Switzerland mix-up, as usual. :3
You're totally right though. I like marabou though, but I'm also childishly fond of all other sorts of chocolate, except for the ones containing chili or pepper or salt. :<
