So I've been thinking about creating a portfolio.

Does anyone have any experience with this? How do you do it? What should it include? How do i select my best photos? Should it be a physical portfolio or an online portfolio?

Any input is appreciated.

What kind of a portfolio? What's it for?

If it's to be proof of your skills then you can include whatever you want in it. Generally they're presented in folders or books. Have examples of your best work at the start of it [or photos and diagrams if it's 3 dimensional stuff] and then include smaller projects later on. If it's got more than one category - eg Photography, crafts, sewing - then include the best examples at the start of each category. It's probably best to have a separate portfolio for each skill.
Perhaps keep documents which briefly detail the creative and creation processes used to achieve the results. Best to put them in a small slip a the back of the books/folders though, so as to not distract from the actual work.

Does that help?

I'd suggest putting it in a binder, that way if yo ugo to job interviews, conventions, etc, you can just pull it out, or leave it out for people to look at!
If you do more than one kind of thing, have labels. You can put whatever you want in a portfolio as long as its orginized :3.
My college portfolio is really sloppy, so I wont show you pictures of it for an example, but it put in it my best works, and a tablet for volenteer work I've done.:3
