So Valentine's Day is coming up! Which means it's almost time to exchange chocolates and candy with friends and people you love! I don't know about many other countries, but in America, people normally just give chocolates and candies they buy in stores. But, taking inspiration from Japan, I think Valentine's Day is a great opportunity to make cute sweets!

Because it's not the normal practice in America to make Valentine's sweets, I didn't know any recipes for cute Japanese inspired chocolates. So I began looking around online, and I found this great Japanese recipe website! It's got all sorts of recipes, but if you search for Valentine's Day sweets, they have a lot of really cute food!

The website is Japanese, so if you don't know Japanese, what you'll need to do is right-click in an empty area (so you don't click on anything in particular) and select the "Translate with Bing" option. Then you'll be able to read everything. To find Valentine's Day sweets, search it in Japanese, " バレンタインデー ". The English translation is a little rough, but it's readable.

This is it: Cookpot.com Valentine's Day.

This is a thread for all Valentine's Day food! Anything you've made before, you're going to make, or want to make, talk about them here!

I made truffles for valentines day last year. It was pretty much the first time I made sweets ever ^^ But it was easy so it was a good starter, and they turned out really yummy :)

Thank you :)

This year I was thinking making pralines :) I've never done it before but my bf got a praline kit from my mom at his birthday so I thought I could as well try :) There are so many yummy recipes! It's seems quite complicated to keep the chocolate at the right temperature all the time, but It doesn't matter if I fail, they don't have to be shiny as long as they're edible and I'm sure they will be ^^

On Valentine's Day I made an artisan chocolate and truffles for my boyfriend. It's my first time making these kinds of sweets that's why it doesn't taste good just what I've expected it to but I'm happy that my boyfriend appreciated the effort that I made.
