I've been feeling a bit moody lately and want to start a futuristic emo look. Basically what I want is to combine emo with elements of sci fi. Anyone have any ideas for a look. I already have a plan for my hair, I plan on doing odango buns, but I'm unsure on makeup and dress. I kind of want the makeup to be dark, but my controling parents don't like dark makeup. Also what kind of clothes should I go for. Remember I want some sci fi mixed in so I don't just want a band tee and skinny jeans with canvas shoes. Also I don't want to go too extreame so that I don't freak my parents out, but then again I'm tired of them controling the way I dress. If they had it their way I would dress in an ugly hoody and blue jeans and sneakers like everyone else. They want me to be so much like everyone else which is part of the reason why I'm so moody.

Why not take some inspiration from cyber goth? Neon colors and black, interesting hair but accesorize with futuristic/shiny items. Some examples, goggles, collars with bar codes, lots of silver/chrome, plastic, and see through items in bright colors. Just throw in some black and style your hair and makeup in typical Emo style, though maybe with a metallic touch like really shiny lips or eyes?

I would personally recommend you research into a style called Cyberpunk, not pure cyber.

Cyber is full on sci fi, Cyberpunk is more post apocalyptic.

Think dystopia instead of utopia.
