So I have had this idea for about a year that I want to do new lables for my jam pots, but I don't know how to do it. I could use a regular sticker and just draw it by hand but I figured maybe i need something more damage- and water resistant? I was thinking about using a laminator to get a hard protective plastic cover, but then i realized it would probably be too stiff to bend around the jar and make it stick.

So now I'm stuck again. Do you think i could somehow spray the sticker with something to make it more resistant or should I order a quality sticker someplace and have them print out some glossylike stickers for my jars? Is there any way i can order a already existing design since i can't design on my own?

I can't even google this becsaue i feel my vocabulary is too weak to explain this -.-

I really wish I knew digital illustration so I could make my own lables! I'm so envy of everyone who can make their own designs! It would be so cool if I could do it too! (and if you're interested in designing my lables for me, PM me ^^)

Here, I found this:

"For the 'wettest' projects (like labeling a washing liquid bottle) I put some clear contact paper over the label."

What's contact paper? Anyone?

"Bokplast", you know the transparent self-sticking plastic you put on your school books. When you've finished your lable, cut out a square of the plastic wrap-thingie, and use it to glue the lable on to the jar. Not only will it stick, but you'll protect it from possible fluid dammage. :3

"It's all in my head" I said, banging a piano
'I've not been so alone' I thought, 'since kicking in the womb'
I drank so much tea, I wrote my letters in kanji
Around the block I walked, and walked,
pretending you were with me...

Glad I could be of some help! xD I do my own stickers for my spice jars. I just write the name of the spice on a piece of paper, cut it out neat and nice, and glue it on with a glue stick. :D Very simple and effective. :3
