Wagashi are Japanese sweets made with all natural plant based ingredients, rice flours, and sugar. The filling is of a sweet azuki or white bean paste, for example, and a lot of them are beautiful works of art representing plants and seasons. Yes they do kind of look like a marzipan texture. ^-^
