So what are your college dreams? Or college experience if you already went?

I'll start off : 3.
Most of my friends are seniors and graduating this year. Which is why as only a Sophmore I am already freaking out about college. I have no money from my parents for college, so I am saving up for it. At the moment I only have 150 dollar saved in my account. But i'm putting money in every month at least.
My dream is to go to a art school, more specificly The art Institute of Seattle. I wish to own an apartment over there, expensive I know, but I really just love Seattle. I love how it looks and runs, I love the unique people and places, I love the smell, the feel, the areas. I just love it. It makes me want to be bigger than myself, apart of something better and more important!
I want to major in Fashion, probably design. I hope to have a job as I am attending college.
To be honest, when I think about these things I CHOSE to ignore the bad econemy. It makes me feel better about reaching my dreams  ;3.

I think your dream sounds great :)

and I agree with you ignoring the bad economy in America can

save the mind from going insane!

I haven't thought too much about my dream other than what I wanna do.

It's a bit silly and I have no idea how to acheive my goal :/ sadly

my collage dream. I want to have a full Lolita/other awsome fashion wardrobe.

and i dont really want to sociallize as weird as that may seem. I have some good friends on MAF and thats good enough for me . I want to go to the only local collage that has a veteranary program, La Guardia and get an Assosiates in Veteranary technology. I want to have the cutest stationary pens and pencils, pencil cases and all that to motivate me ^^ After that I want to get a part time job as a veteranary assistant, and save up to move out, if I feel I want to be a full on Vet...I'll have to do research on a school in new york that has that program because La guardia is the only one I've found.

University sucks and is impersonal. It took every penny I had and I'm not so good handling the stress of school and working... hence why I've dropped out... for the second time.

I just hope to get through it so I can teach English abroad.

OMG, i relate to your comment SO much!! the stress of school and work totally ruined my first term this year. i am trying to repair the damage atm 0~0). and i really think it sucks, but i see a lot of people who are living the ideal university life, i think those are the people who had funds saved ahead of time and they can even live in residence and meet tons of people. i am personally very shy and especially with work and school i had no time to go to events or anything so my social life has really suffered. i have a lot of acquaintances but not many "friends" at university. i just can't wait for school to be over.......

lol, not to scare anyone away from university. i just think i would've liked it much more if i'd had a year off beforehand so that i wouldn't be in school for 18 years without break! and then i could've saved up the fee as well. ideally i would've liked to just study japanese or music or something, but i chose something i don't like so much that will probably guarantee me a job in canada more or less. i also might have wanted to go to college more but my parents said no, had to be university.

I'm a chinese language major. My class had 20 people. I repeate, impersonal and sucks.

I've enjoyed my University experience so far, even though I'm only a sophmore. Though, I will have to say that there have been good times and outright God awful times, haha. Japanese university, or any University for that matter, is very stressful in some regards, but with enough self-determination, and the overwhelming fear of failing your parents, you'll get through. Honestly, University isn't so bad, you just have to will yourself to get through.

I've heard Universitys can be like that, as well as public schools...
Which is why I've decided a decent size art college would be more hands on, I've heard plenty of pleasant things about class sizes and student=teacher relationships : 3.
I'm sorry your experience has been bad...Would there be anyway to go to a school smaller than a University and still be able to do what you want?(i'm not to knowledgeable in colleges...)

I want to be a voice actress. I've always admired voice actors and I recently made up my mind on this. I'm not sure where to go to college to prepare myself for this career so I plan to use 2012 to my advantage to plan this out for myself.

I also enjoy video editing, I wouldn't mind pursueing that as well. I wish I was better at preparing myself for these things. But I have the confidence that with my mind put to it I can accomplish what I really want to do!

I go to a really large university, so I'm not sure about smaller colleges either, but smaller class sizes would be much nicer. At the same time, though, I like all think that out of all the large amount of people who attend classes with me, there would be at least one potential friend I could make

If you have trouble finding a college with voice acting, you could always use it as a hobbie, and major In video editing until You can get the voice acting started. My sister is doing this with Photography and teacher, going to school to teach elementry. But does Photography for a hobby(Which can benifit me, as I need someone to take pictures of me modeling my sewing :3)
I hope you can accomplish your dreams in the end  :3
