I watch the movie Freedom Writers for the first time today. I don't think I have ever cried so much at random parts when watching a movie. I actually had to go into the bathroom and grab some tissues to place into my pocket. Since this movie stemmed off of a book, I am going to go get a copy from my local library.

Have you seen Freedom Writers?
What movie(s) have you watched that made you cry almost the whole friggin' time?

I recommend this move for anyone interested in the hardships people in gangs have to deal with, also another WONDERFUL gang related film - Gran Torino. That movie also made me cry.

It was such a wonderful movie~ I wish I hadn't watched it in school because it completely ruined the mood. I really want to read the book, I think I might this break since I will have plenty of free time :)

I only remember seeing the poster in my Senior English class. My teacher was kind of the like the teacher in the book. She helped troubled kids before she moved onto my school. She taught everyone in the Senior class though- the smart ones and the stupid ones. We were separated- about four classes of smart people and one class of stupid people. I was in the "stupid people" class but I was far from stupid. I excelled in that class, bypassed expectations. I am a writer, a label wouldn't hold me back. That might be why this movie sits with me so well. Bypass expectations, surprise people, surprise yourself.

I LOVE FREEDOM WRITERS!

If you like that movie, you might like Coach Carter too. It kinda has the same prospective.

Except it's basketball.
