not talking about the powderd iced tea. Im talking about theFreshly brewed stuff. But whenever I make it, it tastes odd. I just put the tea bag in my cup of hot water let it steep the throw the bag out and add sugar. let it cool then stick it in the fridge overnight. I cant sescribe it but it just tastes odd like the sugar isn't correcly infused or something.... How do you guys make fresh iced tea?

The way my mom makes iced tea is she sets out an entire pitcher outside and lets it brew int he sun (it's hot enough for that...) Then she puts it in the fridge.

However I just make a cup of tea and WAY over brew it, mix ing a spoon of honey then stirr in ice cubes until it's cold and iced. This way the tea is not too light and it's sweet and iced.

In my house, we make it in a large plastic...Um, what are they called...You generally make lemonaid in them and pour it into a glass. Oh I'm hopeless. But we generally fill that with a mix of hot and cool water, have 3 tea bags (same tea bags we use for our black tea) and a cup or so of sugar? Leave it out to seap, mix the sugar in, Put it in the frig over night and then the next day add Ice. That or we brew the tea in the teapot really strongly, pour that into the container, add cool water after putting in the sugar. (Slightly mixes the sugar as well as weakens the tea, filling the container up) Put it into the frig and then Ice the next day.

Do you mix the tea in before putting it into the frig? Or maybe you're not putting enough sugar?

That's the reason why I don't make tea for myself because its taste is a lot wat different from the ones that I've been drinking. Even if I also add sugar and milk on it. I still taste bitter and odd.
