Ok I know everone in some point in their life has money troubles.
With me, on January 1, 2012 I have stop weaing Lolita because of that. The econimy hit my family really hard in the face. The only way I can still be a Lolita is if their is a way to buy the fasion at places like ross, torrid, target, or wal-mart, or even making them. Please give me your advice on how to still be a Lolita!

Wow, this is a really hard situation, but if there's any comfort at all you are not the first lolita and not the last that this have happened too (myself included).

For my own part there was absolutely no way to solve it. I had zero income and you need at least a little income to be able to buy something.

If you do have an income I would probably suggest to take a look at ebay, sometimes you can win items really cheap by lucky bidding. Some people would probably suggest sewing, but where I live fabric and lace is really expensive (so for myself it's actually cheaper to buy finished products from say china).

I'm sorry I ain't much help :/

Good Luck!

And if you can't afford lolita right now, don't be sad. You are very young to be lolita. You can always return when the situation is better or you get old enough to make your own money.

I´d suggest sewing, if fabric is cheap where you live. There are places that sell leftover fabric remnants from stores sometimes, which are way way cheaper than buying cloth directly from a bolt. A lot of the time, you go to the stores and don´t find anything, but other times, you get a really lucky find.

Also, I expect that thetre are thrift stores in your country--or places like the Salvation Army, etc. You can find a lot of stuff there that is ""loliable"; something really cheap that can be modified.....or something really cheap that you can cut up and use the fabric for making a skirt or dress for yourself! (I expect that´d be even cheaper than the other fabric stores idea I mentioned). You can do that for finding lace, belts, shoes, cardigans other accesories as well.

You don´t have to buy tons of clothes constantly to be lolita. You can use whatever wardrobe you currently have  as well. But anyhow, you´ll still have lots more time to continue lolita, you´ll just have to be patient and determined and it´ll all work out somehow. good luck to you and your family!

Take it from me, thrift stores are your best friend. You can find a ton of thing that often work well in lolita. Blouses and sometimes even skirts.

Skirts are really easy to make if you know how to sew.

Thank you for the help. :)
I've looked on ebay but there's never any plus size's.

I could do the sewing, thanks for that idea.

For me, I have no job and I'm about to get one so I can stay paying my own bills, so either way I'm having little to no income. I get about $50 a month to myself, which I eitehr end up spending on food when I go out to eat, or fabric. I'm a sewer, so that helps me a lot, but I have been able to go to places like Wet Seal and find pretty accesories for cheap.

It's so hard for me to be able to wear lolita on a reglar basis, but I still wear it on special occasions or when I need a pick me up or am feeling in a good mood. If you have more tops and skirts you can wear more combinations of things. You don't always have to wear something new.

Many people are suggesting sewing, but then contradictiing it with 'fabric is to expensive."
Fabric IS exspencisive from art stores.
I buy my fabric from thrief stores.
Just last week at good will, i bought over....12 yards of different kinds of fabric for 20 dollars!
And some of it will make very nice loli/victorian outfit.
Sewing is cheep if it you do it right!
And as a complete, total, only bargain-kind of shopper. It can be easy and cheep:3.
