14 isn't too young to wear lolita (I started wearing lolita when I was 13 too :3) But I have to admit that dressing lolita (or any alternative style) gets easier as you get older. Paying for your own clothes is important. Since you're younger because you'll have to borrow your parent's credit card a lot. So you'll have to have some parental consent to start buying loli clothes. But there's nothing wrong with being a lolita at age 13/14

I started getting into Lolita when I was 13 or 14, but back then there was no way I could wear it, becaue I was too embarassed to even ask for any clothes (don't ask why; I don't know). I have a few things now (I'm 16), but not enough to say that I wear Lolita frequently. But I think that many Lolitas that you may meet are older (17-19 and up) because they had to wait to get a job and buy the clothes for themselves. It's hard to wear an expensive and style when you're too young to have a decent job. On the other hand, I have seen some very young Lolitas. I don't think you can be "too young for Lolita" at all, because the style is focused on youth and innocence. And as for people thinking it's wierd, there's no way around that. As a bunch of people already said, no matter how old you get, they always will find it wierd, because to them it is wierd. It's very unusual. Even in Japan, I have to think that, though it is more common, a lot of people still find it strange. But if you like it, wear it! Do what you want to do! Their opinions don't matter :)

I started wearing lolita when I was 12... Nobody really minds, they only ask me why I'm wearing it. I'm still young, and still wear it quite often...

I think that was around the age I started becoming interested in the lolita fashion. Of course, I couldn't dress it until I was sixteen when I went to Japan and bought stuff from Bodyline, then realizing they had an online store that shipped worldwide. Honestly, the idea of lolita is to look like a doll. When you're younger, that's easier to achieve. So, you're going to probably be a great little loli! ^-^

people think weird about everything what they can't understand, it's absolutely normal. If it doesn't put you our to much, then all is OK. It's better for you to come to terms with this fact and live as you live now.

I don't think you're ever too young actually... When I was in high school I would dress in gothic lolita all the time. I would have the long frilly socks and the cute puffy dresses and I absolutetly loved doing it o (◡‿◡✿) Of course I always had people that would look at me weird, or say pretty rude things to me but I learned to ignore them. Looking like everyone else is boring and you should dress to express yourself not to fit it cause when you try to fit in you tend to attract ppl of the wrong crowd. When I dressed that way I made friends that LOVED how I dressed so if you like it don't care about how others think
