Basically what the title says. How does it feel when your 'deco' yourself and flaunt that cuteness to people? Did anyone ridicule you or praise your looks? I'm a bit curious how your experiences went. Here's mine =]] Last year i discovered Fruits, Decora, and the sorts from the Fuits and Gothic Lolita books my cousin gave me for christmas. I was thrilled to see the different styles and how cute it was. Though she said the style was from the 90s I googled decora and saw how even more cute it has gotten! Inspired I raided all the pink in my closet and accessorized from head to toe. I felt so confident and awesome. When I went to school the next day I got some pretty odd stares. I didn't really expect that and I felt even more self conscious about how i looked. My friends told me I looked cute but mean stares can really get to a girl, y'know? it was until I went to the mall a couple weeks later. i (trying) to be decora again and while in the Apple Store A little girl approached me. She told me that i was really cute and she wanted to take a picture with me! (I know I almost fainted with the embarrassment!) After that my mind changed. Even through a thousand mean stares there's always that one glistening one that knows your cute! =]]]

awww... thats a really cute story. Mine: I was a deco harajuku girl last halloween. So, I don't think anyone found me weird at that time. I really want to wear deco with some friends here, but it seems so hard to find the right outfits.

i wore deco on campus last year. all pinky with hello kitty hair clips a'ton and all accessorized up...i only remember my computer teacher was the only one who made any indication that i noticed in regard to me "looking different." i dont remember his comment but it didnt bother me though it might have been a little rude, something along the lines of am i going out today o.0 Lol! im surprised i didnt notice anyone looking at me. i guess my confidence took over in deco wear! 8) coolness! gosh sweetie i love your story its touching and exactly the kind that decoras and girls of every japanese fashion subcategory love to hear and hope to experience! oh my gosh i bet you looked so cute though! i would have totally loved you upon seeing you lol! xD

I've only worn Decora out in public a few times, but never at school. You are much braver than I. xD
I do remember once I wore it out when my friend was visiting and we walked over to our other friend's house... It wasn't exactly the best experience. : As we crossed the bridge, a few people rolled down their windows and screamed bad words at us, and on the way back someone rolled down their window and took a picture. Maybe it was just because of the floppy pink bunny hat. xD;
It doesn't really stop me from doing it occasionally when I'm by myself or riding my bike somewhere, because I like the way it makes me feel to be dressed like that. It makes me feel creative and cute. :D
I haven't done it do school so much, I water my clothing down A LOT when I go to school, but it's slightly reminiscent of decora. xD; I remember in my drawing class I brought Fruits as a reference book since we were talking about color, we actually had a class discussion about decora and lolita, and I actually got into a discussion about it with one of our models (who is interested in that, and liked Goth Loli). xD She encouraged me to do it to school one day, and I think I might, if I can find a day a wake up early enough to do my hair and get all those hair clips in.

A couple years ago (in high school) I dressed decora nearly every day. I became known for it, and I eventually would get more comments on my off days "Why arent you dressed up today?!" I had one class where I made a group of friends who admired me for how I dressed, they nicknamed me rainbow sunshine. But this girl who always seemed to be in a bad mood, my friends heard her saying stuff about me, that I dressed like a 10 year old or something, and they got REALLY mad. But I told them that it didn't matter, that its okay for people to say things like that because the way I dress makes me happy regardless. And I looked super cute that day, I remember, all pastel rainbows. Other than that, Ive gotton random complements as well as people taking pictures slyly (once or twice I was approached). Little girls are the most outspoken, of course, they will point at you and say things outloud where you can hear them, and their moms always try to shush them. Its cute!

genrally my response is good apart from the odd people, but i have half my hair shaved off so being used to nasty comments it just provokes me to do it more. decora just makes life just that little bit more exciting and pinker aha..anddd it makes you feel brilliant when you do it
