Hai girlies! ( and possibly guylies )
I was curious if anyone could tell me about Cyberpunk and post me some pictures? My best friend and I was thinking of doing a photo shoot but I have no idea what really to look for into it. The only thing I have that I think is REMOTELY close is a spiked cat bell choker hahaha.
Thanks guys <3

Thanks so much for the pics! All the ones I kept finding were too scientific.

Cyber Punk, as a fashion, grew out of the table-top roleplay scene, believe it or not. So it looks very dark and futuristic. It's not steam punk at all, there's no element of "steam" or the old West feel many Steam Punk coordinates usually have.
Cyber Punk often features goggles, sometimes hair falls, a lot of PVC, buckled boots, very robotic almost.
This colorful candy stuff isn't Cyber Punk - it's just Cyber...or more like Cyber Raver.

^This. Cyber punk is like Steam punk, except that it's not. Steam's like cowboys and late 1800's early 1900's, while if you wanna do cyber punk you need to think robot. Uh.. and punk. Mostly robot. Think Ghost in the Shell, or Apple Seed, or Metropolis or Serial Experiments: Lain. Think future, man meets computer, where the AI's start to become self aware, androids and close-to or complete digitalization of the world. Barcodes tatoo'd in the neck and powersockets in the ass. I love this style. It's definitely on my wardrobe-list.

"It's all in my head" I said, banging a piano 'I've not been so alone' I thought, 'since kicking in the womb' I drank so much tea, I wrote my letters in kanji Around the block I walked, and walked, pretending you were with me...

I was about say that too, the listed images are Cyber, not Cyberpunk. There is a notable difference between the two styles. For Cyberpunk think post apocalyptic dystopia--not utopia.

Fun. Anime. Caffeine. Cyber. Cosplay. Bass. Happiness. Literature. Pendulum. I will never be cool. Ever. I will, however, forever be awesome.

I am so glad that you said this, 'cause I totally forgot to say it. And it's definitely the main thing to go by. People mistake the colourful fruitcakes for cyber punk, which makes me a sad bunny. ;_;

Wow, thank you, now i might finally have a chance to understand this style.. I'm having a problem with understanding all these "cyber" and "punk" styles :S People keep building new style by putting two words together but I can't see what they have incommon.. cybergoth, cyberpunk, steampunk etc... Have you seen this thread?
