I'm a fresh lolita (a n00b basecally, but sound too harsh!)
& I absolutely love traditionalism with a twist!

Wa Lolita was the first sub-category of Lolita that made me discover this whole entire new fashion!

So I'll cut my testimony and get to the point:

Bodyline is an online store that's pretty cheap, I have made my research, "You get what you pay for" I got the concept. It's good for new comers of Lolita who are scared of spending almost $320 USD. on first buys. I believe it's also a second hand store, but maybe I confused that on the research I did.

So buying a dress for under $100 or so is quite good, though some people say that the S&H is outrageous ($20, it's a dress, I believe it deserves that handling), but you can add more stuff and still get the same S&H price.

Now, based on the poor quality that the Wa design can come from that store, I have also stumbled upon a glorious Lolita Designer!
She makes the dresses by herself, very friendly, has been recognized for her work (which is kind of what she has aimed for) and makes dresses in a large variety! Wa/Punk-mix ARE her favorite!

Being the wonderful art that she makes often with her 2 hands, her price, I believe, is reasonable. $200 at maximum (based on several pictures on her FB pg and info under the comission and to whom she is doing it to), I don't believe the S&H is included.

So this IS where I am the only one who can make the choice for the outcomes that I will have obviously, but, it's something to think about for this community!
You all share wonderful advice, I would like to have a share of it too if possible! ^___^

i dont think bodyline is a secondhand shop. they might re-sell items that were returned though...idk

Bodyline is not a second hand shop, you got that all wrong.. But anyway, you recevie what you see on bodylines pictures, so if you like what you see than it's fine. It's just about taste. If you like the designers creation better, than go with that...

I belive i lost your question... O_o

yeah, cause I have never wore something that's lolita (just this one dress from Hottopic that closely resembled)

I'm even considering making my own... but it would also be my first time making my own ^__^"

i think you should go bodyline or buy secondhand for your first dress. because her site is so expensive and also just getting all the essentials (shoes, socks, peti ect.) is really expensive in itself

personally, I'm not a fan of dolldelight, and right now, Bodyline is having a shipping deal so shipping is only $1 and you can also get shoes, socks, and petticoats instead of just a dress. But then again, if you don't see any dresses you like from bodyline it would be a waste, so in that instance I would go with the designer.

a good reason to go with a designer is if you are like me and don't fit any of the sizes :(

If I am being honest, I don't like Dolldelight's designs at all. But if you prefer her designs to Bodyline, then go with her. As people have said, Bodyline is not a second hand shop.
