I'm pretty sure it means the same thing in the US, too. I clicked on this thread, immediately saw the pictures of chicks and thought... Well, you know what I thought.

I grant wishes

I just got some cut two days ago! I have kinky-curly hair, though, so I'm trying to figure ou how to do straight bangs and VERY curly hair without looking like a four-year old.

I prefer bangs, simply because I feel less "lolita" if I dont have bangs. I don't know why, I know it's not necessary, but I feel better with bangs.

I went from side bangs to straight bangs (not blunt, but curved slightly around my face). Photos are on my blog. xD

My bangs are long enough to push to the side, and still look like side bangs. @~@

I only have half bangs so.....Really can't say. But I like bangs for the shear fact that they go with my current hair style right now.

Listening isn't a skill that comes naturally. It's learned. Hearing on the other hand is natural. You can hear someone, but are you really listening to them?

I have bangs. They can be a bit of a problem since my hair is curly. Everyday I need to straighten them.

One time my flat iron broke and I looked ridiculous for a weekend TT

But it's minimal upkeep.

I thought this thread was going to be something else hehe

Peeps, help! My bang has grown - to my nosetip actully- and I kind of like it BUT- there is sooo many goodlookin hairstyles where the bang makes it FAB. So, bang or not???? I´m thinking tho of buying a fake one. Is there someone here that have experiance from one??

*Hairy Envy!*

I don't like side bangs for the once reason (and yes it's stereo-tyupical) that where I live they are the mark of an emo/mosher/wierdo/greaser to the masses, and while I have no problem being under verbal attack I'd rather not be constantly mistaken for emo, it's exhausting.

This is, I adore front fringes with those two bits at the side that are longer so they frame the face (don't know the name...sorry!) but I have a cowlick at the side of my hair which decides my parting, so if I got a front fringe it would split where my cowlick is, not a good luck. I can't gel it everyday or straighten it, so I guess no bangs for me..
