I really like wavy hair, but i just don't know how to create it. Any ideas?
I have tried to french braid it and then sleep with the braids so it's wavy in the morning. But more tips would be very appreciated. The problem with braids is that my waves gets very small since my hair is rather thin..

Can you show us some pictures of what kind of waves you want? There are many different types of waves.

For really loose wavy looking hair, wrap large sections of your hair around a curling iron. But don't use the clasp part, literally just wrap your hair around the entire barrel, hold it for a few seconds, and then let go. Works for me every time. ^_^

Bubbi (bubzbeauty on youtube) has a TON of wavy hair tutorials. Here's just one of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dolNKk00BY

I have quite a few "no heat" tricks :D
One that works really well is sleeping with pens and pencils in your hair -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgwpTAIsrzI (tutorial) I do this pretty often and it's really quick and simple The results are lovely and natural-looking as well.
Another would be: 1. Wetting your hair 2. twisting your hair into a bun high up on the back of your head 3. secure with bobby pins Once it's dry, viola! The curls should be loose and "beachy". If you do 3 separate buns for each section of your hair you get more volume I wish I had some pitures of some of the results I've gotten

Hm...Well, I have naturally wavy hair, so if I let mine dry on its own it usually makes its own waves. Sometimes. Lol sometimes it doesn't obey, and decides to fall flat. When I want waves and I have to work for them, I usually use my hot curling wand. ( http://img4.realsimple.com/images/daily-finds/celebrations/conair_300.jpg This is a very similar styling wand, to show what it looks like.) If you're not careful, though, you can end up with tiny, tight curls and not waves. So I'd recommend a bigger curling iron. If you don't want to use a curling iron or don't have one, you can use a straightener too. Just take a piece of your hair, and use the straightener to curl it. I'm sure there are tutorials on YouTube... And if you don't want to use any electric styling products, just do like everyone has suggested and wrap hair up into a bun/chingon or a few of them, when it's still wet. You might try hair spraying it, to help it keep shape. Let it dry, and voila, you should have waves! If your hair is hard from the hair spray, just gently brush it out. Lastly, to give it more volume, flip your hair over with your head down, and hair spray your hair at the ends of it, from about a foot away. Then try to spray the roots (a little aways from them of course), and then crunch your hair with your fingers, or just run your fingers through the roots kinda fast...if that makes sense. Flip your hair back up, and you should have even more volume!

I'm used to use a smoothing iron for making curls in my hair, with a spray to avoid damaging the hair and fix the curls. But the result can deteriorate quickly if there is humidity in the air =s
