So at school i have 3 pages full of things i wanna do
ex. Cleannig,losing weight, college looking,studying, job hunting, org my stuff, blogging, code learning, learning jap
This is like only the first couple lines of the first page.
How do i get motivated to do all this stuff? everytime after school i come home and all i do is goofy around and i never achive the things i wanna achive. And i feel horrible but at the time it starts i make excuses for myself, how do i turn this all around? I need a buddy but right now i have no support. My parents thinks its weird and im thinking to much and doing so little. But its hard when someone is not there telling you to dowhat you neeed to do. And i know if i don't start now that my whole life well just be passing me by.

I have a list like this too! :D Don't be scared becsaue it's long! Think of all the things you can look forward to do and learn! :D

I try to watch this list every day so I don't forget it! Some things are far into the future and i can't do it right now, but try to do the things that you are able to do!

When I have reached a life goal I write it to another list "Golas - DONE!" It makes me so proud to read that list, even if its quite short ^^ This makes me motivated to keep do things on my do do list so I can see what i have achieved! :)

Also writing in the "find something postitive about yourself every day" tread here on MAF makes me motivated to do something every day :) It can be house chores but it can also be finish a craft project that's been standing still or something!

Remeber, just take one thing at a time :) If you try do do to many things, you'll just get unmotivated. Turn a long goal into several shorter goals. For instance "learn japanese" is an insanely big goal, nothing one would achive in one day ^^ But how about Monday: learn all the colors in japanese. Now thats a lot easier :) And you can keep going like that with several smaller goals :)

I had the same problem, which leads me into major depressive episodes that makes it more difficult to start what I need to do XO Setting small goals for yourself is a great idea. It's different for everyone, but I have to set hourly goals for myself...that's alot right :P but it helps me get the most out of my day. This is gonna sound nerdy but if you keep it a secret ...no will know your a nerd haha ok here is my tip, make a timetable for yourself, decide the exact time your going to do something instead of "this afternoon I'm going to do OO" write down the exact time your going to do it ! This technique helps me alot .

Do youknow what motivates me to clean? To have someone over ^^ So invite someone! My apartment is always spotless if I'm having a visitor :D Sometimes I think i should invite people more often, lol ^^

I also have the same problem... thinking too much but doing too little.... I still cannot achive the things I wanted to do... but I still try remembering them so that I can know what I'll do to achive them.


maybe in your to-do list highlight the most important so that you  can know what is the first thing you needed to do~

I agree with putting time on your list and having someone over to be motivated to do them~

Having someone over helps me too~


for school works, I think you should find a place where you would be motivated but except home. The school library is a good place with some people who are doing it with you. it helps me alot too~

I remebered now what our English teacher do to help us be motivated: MOTIVATING CARDS.

Write down words, phrases or sentences to help you be motivated. including your goal will be a nice touch too~ ex. Remember that you wanted to be ---- so study hard and etc...! and you would be able to design the >_<...

Finding inspirations and idols will hellp you too. For example you wanted to be like your mother so maybe put pictures of her in your list to be motivated or maybe what will make you do things even if there's no one with you but when you remember him/her/it, you'll start right away.


- My campus planner that I won in a giveaway is a great planner. After every month there are pages to help you be motivated and enhance your self-esteem and confidence. It's Belle de Jour campus planner. Belle de jour is a french word for doing everything in great style.


so maybe, compile your list and put motivating pages~ heehee....

Oh my gosh! That's such a good idea! I'm going to do that. My room is so messy and I have no motivation to clean it. Lol

When I get overwhelmed about things I need to do, or just all the things I want to do, I remember a scene from the manga Fruits Basket (I tell you, that is the most meaningful manga I've ever read!). In the chapter, the main character, Tohru, is overwhelmed with things that are going on in her life all at once, and she doesn't know where to begin. Another main character tells her this analogy that I'll paraphrase: "Think of everything that's going on, all the things you need to do, like a mountain of laundry. When you look at it all, it's overwhelming, and you don't know how you could ever get it all done. But if you start with just a little, washing and drying one load at a time, and keep going, before you know it, the mountain will be gone, and you'll be finished. So just take one thing at a time, and keep going."
It sounds so corny but it really helps me relax and get going on things!

My bf has a framed picture of an astronaut walking on the moon by his computer. He says it's to remind him every day abouthis dream and goal. How far people can reach if they only want it enough :)

Clockbells idea with the library is a really good idea! My bf do that! He says it's easier to keep studying is he stays in school after the lessons, then he won't be tempted to do other things, like he will be if he go home. When he have to study at home on the weekends he always studies in the kitchen, as far away from his computer as possible, so he wont get tempted to do other things :)
