oohhh ok now i see! i never saw the need to download a pic then re-upload it, but now i see why its better to do that. i would just copy and paste the entire pic and not think it was the same as hotlinking but i guess it is :P (guilty) so now i shall stop and upload those pics to my photobucket as well :), oh nice to know facebook lets you host pics also buahaha

A good host to use is also flickr! It's a photo sharing site so you are suppose to share the pictures via this site which is good for hosting :) And it's easier too! It's free unless you want to be able to sort your pictures into categorize I belive. Then you have to upgrade to a pro account.
I am not sure if it's okay to use flicker for other than pictures taken by youself tho... I have seen it, but i don't think that the idea of the site. The idea is to share photos by yourself. A lot of very good photographers hang out there :) very inspiring :)
And btw my free photobucket account reached it's limit already after two weeks, so i guess i upload a lot ;)
I also had a TinyPic, it was free and limitless, however after too many uploads they made the quality of my pictures really rally bad to make up for it :(

No, like i said in some previous comment. Some people upload picture without an account, and that's a temporary upload service. However if you make an account your pictures are just fine.

Hm, I had no idea that that was what "hotlinking" was. And its effects. I do it sometimes. *Is guilty*.
I have a free imageshack account I use to upload lots of pictures and stuff for my MAF blog posts, it works pretty well. Just to add a "picture uploading place" that hasn´t been mentioned. Blogger also lets you upload pictures directly from your computer to your blog, I really like that.

My sister used blogger photouploading service for her blog and it got full pretty fast :S I thought it was strange that a blog would have such limit :S most people use pictures in their blogs after all:S But on the other hand her pictures were very big, maybe even original size and also high quality, so naturally it takes a lot of space...
