I don't know about you, but I do got some bad experience in the jungle of finding nice loliclothing online. I was also a beginner once and i got very very sad when i got fooled.

So therefor i start this thred. Just in case there are any new lolitas out there who might some help with avoiding some bad experiences to start with.

This thread will only contain personal experiences so you don't have to judge a shop just because of it, but it can still be good to be aware of it.

Write down you bad experiances and why. With pics preferable.

A store I would avoid completely:

Honestdragonchina.
Sells there producs via Ebay. Worst quality ever imaginable. They use stolen pictures and what you see is not what you get. Not even close.

To the left you'll see what i thought I ordered. And I cried when I recived the clothing on the right picture.  The apron didn't even had hems and honestdragonchina answerd that with "this is for cosplay, not for allday use". Like that would matter.

I also bought a purple dress that I thought would look like a Mary Magdelene dress. It recived it red, and completely diffrent from the pic. Both dresses were ordered at the same time however the red dress had completely diffrent sizes. The waist was to small, the skirt hand no width and the bust was waaaaay too big. Honestdragonchina answered "we had to add some bust inches since you didn't". And claimed that I had not given the the right measurments to start with. Why they did that and why they didn't add those inches on the blue dress is still a mysterioum.

Honestdragonchina can't sew and they now nothing about quality. I would tell everyone to avoid this store.

A store I would be careful about:

FanplusFriend
Sells their products via both Ebay and via a own website.

This store is quite popular. They do a lot of replicas. However I've ordered from that store several times and I always end up disapointed.

There are cheaper shops with better quality so I wouldn't spend my money here.

A petticoat that I bought was even broken to start with. And after some weeks of use it was just rags. Every hem on the petti unravel.

I also tried to buy some dresses, but the fabric is very thin and it's hard to get the right lolita shape on the skirt, so it's difficult for beginner lolitas.

F+F sewing skills are very disapinting. They're in such hurry when making the clothings they don't even see they sew outsite the fabric and you're dress will look like this:

They also send me the wrong size.

Even if you get disapointed and sad you have to stand up for yourself. If you don't see what you get you should demand your money back. Be tough! I know it's hard, you don't wanna pick a fight, but no one should pay money for something that's broken when you recieve it or is not the same as described or shown in pic.

Heya,  thank you for the tips...    I know there are some bad bad bad places out there, it is good to hear what you have to say about them.

I am kind of stuck, I really can't buy anything but BABY as of now just because I would feel guilty otherwise.
I LOVE MY BUNNIES!!

oh gosh i'm sorry to hear these misfortunes that you have encountered :( i'm glad you've found better brands that you look beautiful in (well, you're the one who makes the garments beautiful though ^.^). Thank you for the heads-up; I will most definitely stay away from these brands *phew* ! better luck with new brands in the future too :)!

I threw away one dress and one apron (both ebay). Used the f+f petti as long as i could, then i had to throw it away too. I gave away another dress (ebay). Two of the F+F dresses were I able to send back and receive full refund. Some other f+f skirts did i keep and fix with needle and thread.

I want to write something here, but fortunately I haven't had any bad experiences with lolita clothing.

Bodyline and closet child so far have been really good.

Unfortunately the feeback system on ebay is very very weak :( People give positive feedback because they believe they have to. Or they don't give feedback at all cus they're afraid of the consequenses.

When trying to leave neutral or negative feedback Ebay is trying to convince you not to before the proccess is complete. You will get questions like "did you contact the seller to try to solve the problem?" However i believe that's not neccessary.

I bought a wig i wasn't very satisfyed with. but the item arrived fast and it wasn't messy or broken or anything. I just didn't like it. it was not as soft and smooth as my other one and it was very hard to style. I totally have seen better wigs for the same price and therefore i wouldt buy from that store again. However contact the seller wont solve anything. Because all the wigs got the same quality. And i belive the seller likes the wigs she selling. The seller didn't do anything wrong, but i still should be able to give neutral. "i bought this, it was ok, but i probably wouldn't buy here again"

I also know sellers can block buyers from ever buying from their store again if the piss the seller off by giving them negative feedback so i understand people for not dareing. Most sellers got 98% positive but that doesn't mena they're relyable.. :(
