I noticed Bodyline is running their model contest again. I was just wondering if anybody here has ever thought about entering? I hear all these rumours about what Mr Yan is really like and it puts me off! On their website the models have written diaries about their experiences which is great because I have always wanted to know what goes on.

Let's face it... Bodyline don't take the best photographs and you wouldn't get to choose which clothes you model so you might end up with a load of embarrassing photos. But you do get to go to Japan which does sound like an amazing experience (and I think all expenses are paid). Plus the modelling part is probably very fun.

So would you put up with the negatives if it meant getting to experience Japan? I will be honest, I don't think I would. I am just curious to know if anybody has ever tried entering or is thinking about it?

Personally I wouldn't do it. If i ever gonna go to japan I wanna go with my bf, and if I won a ticket, I couldn't bring him. It's not like you win two tickets, right? I don't think i would enjoy Japan if i couldn't share it with somone I love.

Also I don't think that the bodyline shoots have very much quality. Actually I think they're really lame. And the outfits are boring too. Luckily the outfits have improved some lately, but they're still lacking creativity. I would never want to be the face of bodyline. And i find it hard to belive that the girls who already have modeled were very pleased about all the pictures...

(haha, and yeah right, even if i wanted to model for bodyline I may not, I'm too tall and too fat according to them, lol)

Sometimes the girls look awful, pretty sure that would be me too

I am not sure... I think if the entrant is young they get to bring somebody? I would want my husband to come with me so we could experience Japan together.

I feel a little sorry for one of the Bodyline models because she has had so many secrets made about her on Lolita Secrets. I think it is Bodyline's fault because the pictures look poorly taken. And it appears they photo-shopped her knees off but left the dark circles on her face alone.

I think Mr Yan a very strange character. I believe he picks the models himself. At 23 and being of average size, I am probably too old and fat to model for Bodyline!

Apparently Mr Yan took a shine to one of the models. He even named a print after her. I sometimes wonder if he is just looking for a bride instead of a model!

I think I probably would if I was a size small...(on my way to there!)

I think I might end up being one of those girls in what I call the Monstrosity Dresses... but I think it would be a really cool thing to be able to say. "I've modeled for bodyline, yup."

i would do it, id want to go to japan to see if mr.yan is what you really say (this is the first time ive heard of it! and i almost stalk bodyline and mr yan but havent found much lol) and i would love to see what his upcoming designs are and such ^^

Sounds like borderline sexual harassment to me
