So I've notice recently that alot of us (including myself)have been setting goals to lose weight and/or get in better shape, so let's talk about it!
(Yes, there is an older thread on here about working out but lets go furhter than that.)
Post new workouts you're trying, maybe a new "healthy" recipe you found, post little victories you've had in meeting your goal,etc. I figure it will be easier to accomplish our goals if we do it together!

On the days I don't make it to the gym and my hubby doesn't want to go for a walk I've really been getting into Zumba. I bought the one that syncs up with my Wii so you have to go through all the different dance routines; I also have a pediometer that syncs with my DS and it sets goals for me of how much I need to try to walk in a day. As far a trying to control what I eat I've been trying to remember to log into

I've taken up hula hooping recently! I've gained lots of weight (like 70 pounds) after graduating high school. I use to run track back then, but my knees start screaming if I try running like I use to. :-) So I decided to give hooping a try. Honestly, it's a better workout than you think. I had my hoop professionally made by a friend, so the hoop actually weighs 2 LBS and is 40" in diameter! The combined weight and size makes it WAY easier to keep up! I tell you this hoop gives you an AB workout like no other! But is much easier and less strenuous than a standard sit up.
I LOVE DECODEN! among other thing..lol

Know the feeling, I have alot of problems with my knee too.

I try to go for a mile or two walk every day :) I want to be healthy so i eat lots of fruits and veggies and make sure I don't eat more than what my body wants. Listening to your body when it says it's full is the best thing to do~ I also would love to get into doing some dance stuff, unfortunatly for where I live its hard, but a close friend of mine is going to be a diet and nutrious and says he will help me out a lot~

I am rather chubby at the moment, and I dislike this, I gained a lot of weight when i entered college (about 50 pounds ....) and thanks to a dissorder i have that involves fainting I was forced to not exercise and eat more. So now that I have everything under control I want to get my life on track and become a healthier person!

It's a bit hard though, at first it was just me, but after I started to loose weight my friends thought it was a good idea and now i'm not alone anymore, though I still feel like I need some encouragment every now and then.

So I say we should all work to keep eachother motivated I think it would be great ne~

Wow, Its great you're so much support from your friends! My hubby tries to work out with me to encourage me but, due to work related injuries he can't do very much. You're right we should be encouraging each other! BTW: Me and a couple of the other girls on MAF have been using http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ to track ourselves and encourage each other (my screen name is kge520 if you're interested). Keep up the great work!

So I have a plan now.... I have written a list about exersises I can do while watching tv, I will eat less but more often, drik a lot of water and unsugared tea, I will take the dog out for a run every time I have a chance, and I will use my BF's indoor bicycle as often as I can... I will also try too lift weights some time.... :D

If i just follow my plan I think this wil work :D

my goal is just to get in shape and not die while walking up the stairs heres my progress:

    ~i walk the dog at least once a day :)
    ~i rehearse dance, just a bit though. i cant do too much atm
    ~i (try to) eat more veggies
    ~and i take multivitamins

I'm sure your dog is really happy you're including it in your work out plan . I love dance! Have fun with it!
