fresh fruits is like decora/ harajuku street fashion/ also called fruits/ sometimes called wamono style. it is like lolita, but like you said, not innocent cute like lolita, but more of a childish colorful, bright, and cheerful style of clothes. it involves lots of accessories sometimes, like many bracelets and hairclips worn at one time, and i think it also idealizes western novelties, like disney characters and such. others dont bring fruits to this extreme with over-accessorizing, and instead stick to unusual colors, not so bright sometimes, but are very hand-made looking clothes--some like to buy from second-hand clothes shops, or thrift clothing shops, and layer their clothes, or just wear them in an unusual way. i think fresh fruits is about colorful fun-clothing, accessorizing, and creativity. its also about the layering and unique color choices--some colors seem to clash, as sometimes they do not match the clothes of their outfits, yet they bring it together, all of the elements of their outfits, to make it work and look good, and probably express themselves as well. generally, i'd say its about funky clothing (and shoes heheh) and showing uniqueness. its especially in harajuku. just a crazy, cool, one-of-a-kind fashion style to each individual. create and match and make it look good according to how you like it, for yourself. but this is all my personal opinion. it's what i've made of fruits fashion from some research and "analyzing" lots of photos of "fresh fruits" "street fashion." :) hope i helped!
