I have a problem maf. I want to go gal, but my hair does not. It's really curly to the root. it won't grow past my shoulders, it doesn't go straight == I don't think I can get extensions. Are there any hairstyles that can fit naturally curly hair or should I just get it chemically straightned? I've been looking and I can't find anything that wouldn't be more work when you start curly rather then straight. Also this is my current hair:

Ah I look kinda naked there ._. it's a tube top.

Wow, that's a tricky one. But the first thing that came to my mind was actually buns. I think gals use them, and I think you would be able to use your current hair with it :)

I'll def keep my eyes open in case a i come across an idea for you :)

Any particuallar reason you don't want extensions? Cus I just got an idea ^^

Not all extensions are glued in. You can use ones with clips :) Like the ones who are so popular togather with the wigs.

Like this :)

The hair that you are with in the pic looks like the bangs ca nbe flat ironed and pin the hair to the side. I don't know if that a good description. It would be similar to the last pic Zeruda put up, except with how short your hair is, it would look more frazzled. Also, maybe you need a type spray, or oil or help flat iron your hair. And extensions can work, I use the clip on ones. you would section the hair an clip them in, really useful and convenience.

I just worry about them not blending with my curl or with my straight. I can straighten my hair but it never quit gets flat.. it just goes fuzzy and poofy like rocker hair XD which is my problem. Fuzz doesn't go with gyaru TT I'll have to look into what I can put on it. getting some to use as pony tails is a good idea.
Also in that pic my bangs are flat ironed -- maybe a better flat iron?

I would suggest investing in a really good flat iron, maybe one from Chi if you don't already use the more expensive kind. >_< Also, there are a TON of products out there for taming curly hair, you might have to experiment and find one that really works for you.

I actually don't own any shampoo. XD The problem for me is mostly the tightness of my natural curl. Those hairstlyes are nice but they are created with a large barreled curling iron. To do that with my hair I'd have to straighten it and then curl it again...
Once my frizz is controled (any product suggestions) I'm still left with the same hair texture. All the curled styles in gal seem to be based around large curls that I can't achieve, I'm really looking for hairstyles that fit with tighter curls.
But after thinking about it now I wonder... have any curly girls here tried using large curlers while their hair is wet to kind of try and force their curls into a larger shape? I have got some curlers but I haven't found a day where I can risk looking like hell the whole day to try them.

For the frizziness, use a keratin treatment. I have a friend who has super kinky hair and she got her done. Keratin is a natural protien that helps the hair to be more healthy (it also weighs the hair down a bit so it takes some of the curl away). You can also try other things as well. I have naturally frizzy hair so when I want to do my hair for any reason I was it the day before and blow dry it, straighten, and style it. Then the next day, the oils in my hair will have built up and it'll be less frizzy.

As for a straightener, for the type of hair you have, you might want one that goes up to at LEAST 430 degrees. Also, an ionic blow dryer will help with the frizz.

Oh, Eevee, your hair is so cute! I would really love to see it up in a gyaru bun, with your bangs down!
But if you're wanting to wear it down, I would suggest using a brand called It's A 10. It's a little pricy, but their products work so good! I use their deep conditioner (Miracle Hair Mask) everytime I wash my hair, and then after my hair's all washed but still wet, I put their Miracle Styling Serum in my hair. It takes care of the frizz and also helps your hair be more obedient when you style it.
Other than that, you could try a very hot straightener, like Illgrove said. I know mine gets above 400 and I always set it to the hottest setting on my hair.
Hope it helps!
