I'm just curious how did you all find out about japanese fashion. I found out about it by searching fashion on the web and I came across some information on harajuku and lolita fashion.

Ah, maybe around 3rd-5th grade? My friend's aunt used to send magazines called Hossi Girl... I think it was, too long ago. But anyways, we used to order little things from there. That was the first time I'd looked through a foreign fashion magazine in general.

I basically grew up reading Manga and watching Animes, I always loved the nice styles i would see the girls wearing if they were just hanging out or going shopping. Just recently I started researching Japanese fashion and really wanted to try it out.

I found out about Japanese fashion last year, about half way through the school year. I was working on a project for my World History class (it was about Punk) and while searching for pictures I found the term Harajuku. I Google Image searched it, found a bunch of adorable Asian girls, and was intrigued; I made my way to Wikipedia and did a little reading. I was hooked after that. Then I foud this website and I never looked back!! lolol

If it's not noticeable, it's not worth it. Welcome to the world of Punk! Follow me on Twitter

Eh, I guess that the Internet was the main cause. My interest was piqued when I saw a documentary about Japan, and I dicovered that I like both the history and historical fashion and the more recent fashion styles and trends.

I fell in love with lolita when I went to Japan on holiday a few years ago but I didn't know the name of the style of clothing or that it existed outside of Japan. Then I stumbled upon this site nearly 2 years ago from an ad on facebook and was so inspired, particularly by pictures on the daily style forum that I just knew I had to dress like it to be happy.
