I used to exfoliate pretty much everyday because i had really dry skin from my acne prescribed stuff
I cut down to exfoliating twice a week, and my acne nearly VANISHED. So i suggest twice a week scrubbing : ).
I also use neosporin on big ones that hurt, and when they heal they rarely leave a scar.

Ok, I feel that this is the right thread for me!
I've had acne for ~10 years now. When I was 11 I thought it was normal because of puberty. BuT I always had cystic acne, unlike others in my age. I have a good skincare routine and also try to drink lots and lots of water, but this alone didn't work. One day I found an OK-solution called Sanoxit (Benzoyl). It worked nice against the cysts, but was not perfect, dried out my skin and I felt like I got kinda immune against it.
Also I do not only get these cysts on my chin, but everywhere in my face. Also IN my nose (yes, in), on my ears and sometimes other parts of my body. It's definitely not caused through cosmetics or wrong skincare. I only used mineral foundation btw.
Well, and then I started goind to the tanning salon this year because everyone said that it helps against pimples - and it worked wonders. My skin has never been so good :) sure there are some people that scream "OMG YOUR SKIN WILL AGE AND YOU GET SKIN CANCER" and blabla, but honestly..if you suffered from bad acne for such a long time and found a good solution, you're just happy with it.

I should try drinking alot of water.
It most likely will help with tons of other things.
I currently have no set facial wash or anything...
Only reason why I do have break out is because of
Stress and putting on makeup and not washing it off.
I dislike using proactive but my mom thinks it is the only
thing that works so we 'have' it and she uses it.
My breakouts normally are small but I always
scratch at them and make everything worse...
I wish I didn't have that habit. ; n ;

Time to try water!
and hope to find a nice cleanser for my skin.
Something that I'll like enough to do  daily.

i have ridiculously difficult skin TT_TT it's so oily, but it gets flaky and dry! i still wonder how on earth your skin can be oily and dry at the same time. but recently i've started drinking a lot of water everyday, and stopped drinking soda and cut back on my sugar intake. and it's helped my skin some already, even after only a week and a half.
i've just started an internal cleanse, as i've heard this will help your whole body and your skin as well. i've had severe acne problems for so so long... i even have something called KP (Keratosis Piloris) on my arms. it's really awful, and it hurts. but apparently (your dermatologist won't tell you any of this) it's caused by an imbalance in your system. so this cleanse i'm on should clear up my skin, even without medication.
if you do have KP, i highly recommend going on a natural cleanse, eating a healthy diet, and keeping your skin moisturized with a good lotion (nothing with perfume in it like Bath & Body products or other scented lotions). don't let any dermatologist tell you that KP is permanent!

I used soo many over the counter products and NONE OF THEM WORKED FOR ME... :[

I even had a dermatologist GAVE SHOTS TO MY PIMPLES! SHOTS!!! And that hurt! Eventually, another would pop up... my face was so horrible with big pimples and it hurt to smile.

But finally I found my MIRACLE. I went to Sephora one day and saw a trial kit by MURAD. It was about $33 bucks so I decided to give it a try. OMG did it work!!!!!!! I've been PIMPLE FREE!

Every now and then I'd get a veryyyy little zit around my period but in about two days I'd zap it away with Murad. So it was a trial for me to find the perfect product and I just wanted to share it with you guys.

Hope you guys find what you're looking for!

Oh and I have OILY SKIN! And I'm 23 years old. Just for a lil background about me.

Sephora: Murad :] <~~ link!
