Heya girls (guys too I guess) I just have a few questions, since I'm of the curious sort.

What do you consider to be romantic? What is romance to you?

O.o. I fail horribly in this area. My bf is romantic type. I am complete opposite...........so i guess i will give you all that he does. These things usually fall in that area. Some of these are mines. Most are what he usually does. 

1. cuddling everywhere and anywhere. Even giving light kisses. 

2. Giving a rose just because you thought of that person today. Or any small gift no matter what. 

3. When partner is upset and needs to be pulled out of a funk doing everything under the sun to make them happy. 

4. Making a dinner for you and your partner. Adding a bit of candlelight and maybe a nice shower or bath together afterwards. 

5. Sitting in front of a fire place. Be it real or fake and listening to the rain on a stormy night and just talking.

Romantic......well, truthfully, though I´m a romantic in the sense that I like romantic gestures, I´m not really a romantic myself, I think. To me, the most romantic thing a boyfriend could do for me is do something that we both know he dislikes just because he knows it will make me happy. Which could range anything from crossplaying with me to watching a sappy movie. I´m not particular about the specifics.

I think it's all up to the individual. My idea of romance has far matured since my old days of thinking that the only way to be wooed was to have someone recite old lines from cheesy movies. Thankfully, I have since moved on.

Now that I am older, wiser, and in a very stable, serious relationship, things have changed. Yes, he does those classic romantic things that make me go gaga no matter how old I am, but there are more romantic things he does without even trying. He notices the slightest things about me - my eye color changing, my pupil size, my voice in relation to my moods - him noticing these things is really sweet to me. Maybe that's because I never had someone pay so close attention to me, but he does. ^-^ I remember another time when I was stressed with school and all kinds of other things and he randomly bought me my favorite truffles - Lindt Stracciatella. Of course, he ended up trying one... then two... then six. He ate half of the bag, but hey, it's the thought that counts!

Let's see... I guess I also consider things like a massage when I don't ask, little kisses for no reason other than he felt the impulse, him cooking for me, little picnics even when my food turns out horrible and him still eating it and enjoying it regardless, him turning off a really scary movie because I curled up in a ball that he had been dying to see after I cried, his attempts to understand everything better, showing me off to his friends, inviting me to go hang out with him and his family, him offering to drive when he knows my car is messed up... I mean, I could seriously go on for three hours about this, but I don't want you to be too picky, you know? I just like the little things that a significant other does. The most romantic things are the things he does only with you without even realizing he does it. <3

Of course people probably consider hugs and kisses as romantic, but if there's no feeling to it and is all casual like it's not that romantic anymore.. ;P

So I think the most romantic things are the other things you can do, as giving eachother a little gift like a flower or something personal, and just giving that little extra when it comes to caring for the other. This is something that usually fades away after a relationship has lasted for a while. And I mean, real guys aren't really like that.. maybe some exceptions but veery rare.

I am sure that I'm not the only girl who has a romantic view of what an ideal guy would be like, but once I meet people out there I've never met a single one who has been that awesome "forever caring, romantic prince" kind of person, boys are boys you know. It's at least like that from what I've experienced. :o
