It's quite obvious that most of the people on MAF are teens or young adults. Now I am wondering if all of those who now wear flashy clothes will continue doing it when they get older...

Did you ever see a picture of a lolita or decora who is older than 30 or even 40? I didn't, although it's kinda hard for me as a European to guess the age of Asian women ;)

But does that mean that confomity will win when we age? What do you think?

I believe on the Daily_Lolita community on Livejournal there is one or two Lolitas on there in their late 30s to early 40s. They still look great!

I'm still going to dress in Lolita even when I'm older. There's no age limit on Goth fashion either, so I suppose as long as I tone down the poof and ribbons it'll still look perfectly fine.

Heck, I'll still wear Lolita when I'm 80. Won't I be the cutest grandma ever? lol

i guess when i hit 40 i'll dress more my age but i'm NOT wearing mom pants lol

I'm not sure how I'll dress in the near future but I'd love to be a mori girl when I'm an old grandma. I'd settle down in a real forest

I really have no idea how I´ll dress when I´m older....I guess it´ll be anything that I like, though. I refuse to wear things that I dislike just because it´s "appropriate for my age". That´ll apply to when I´m older as well, I guess.

I plan on just wearing things I still like!

I know plenty of J-rockers in their late 30s and early 40s that are still rockin' an amazing look. I'd like to keep to the spirit of that too
