these are some poems i've written for homework at school, so i thought i'd put them on here. enjoy ^_^v

this one is from...maybe 2 or 3 years ago? i was inspired by listening to the song Dismantle.Repair by Anberlin.

 

Goodbye

 

You said you had to leave,

But I didn’t want you to go.

I’ve cried so many tears,

But now you’ll never know.

I can’t believe you left,

I’ve known you for so long.

It’s hard for me to take

The fact that now you’re gone.

I never thought it’d happen,

Never thought I’d see the day

When you told me you were leaving,

And then you went away.

Sometimes I still wonder,

If you knew how much I cared.

And though my porcelain heart’s dismantled,
I hope yours has been repaired.

Hands nor Hearts

 

We are merely human.

We are only beings

Who do not know what to do

With our hands.

If I reach out to you

With my hands

They will be farther from me

But closer to you.

If my hands close the distance

Will you meet them with yours?

If I give you my hands

Will you receive them

Or will you push them away?

When I pull my hands back

Will they be connected to yours?

If you do not meet my hands

If you do not receive them

If you do not connect to them

Will I ever again be able

To reach out with my hands?

 

We are merely human.

With my heart

And at great risk.

If my heart closes the distance

Will you welcome it with yours?

If I give you my heart

Will you receive it

When I retrieve my heart

If you do not connect to it

Will I ever again be able

To reach out with my heart?

she told me that your afraid and that you don't have much



trust in anyone i want to get past that



and make you comfortable to the point



that my loyalty to you and the rest



will never be in question



i am a woman of my word



and you know this



truth is all i've ever given to you



and truth is all i'll ever want back
