Hihi! I'm Diana. I really love Japanese fashion, and by an unfortunate misunderstanding, am often interpreted as weeaboo/wapanese/otaku. (Haha, I barely even read manga anymore! :D). I love OTT fashions such as sweet Lolita, and Himegyaru, and even just generic Asian fashion style. So, on to the Question. My favorite brand, is Angelic Pretty, because of the extreme sweetness that goes along with it, the loudness, the brightness, the downright childishness. I love that. It makes me happy. I haven't bought from them yet, and yet they are already my favorite. It's been this way for a long time, since after I first bought my first gothic Lolita dress (Yes, I own a gothic Loli dress >.>). I was scouring the lovely interwebs, and came across it by a happy coincidence (The exact circumstances elude me...). It was so... princess-like.That brings me to this: What is YOUR favorite brand? And WHY? The "Why" is most important, and I really want to get more in depth with people's feelings about the brands and whatnot... So, yes, tell me. What and why?

whats OTT mean? also, ive never heard of "weeaboo" (or "wapanese" but i can guess what that means), what is it supposed to be? well hi, welcome diana. nice to meet you. ^^ im emily. i also like angelic pretty but i like metamorphose too. i also would prob like BTSSB but i dont know. i havent viewed it much, since the site is in japanese, it turned me off to it, as cute as it does look (thank you to lolitagirl/Val for making the English site! kudos and cheers yay! looking forward to it! ganbatte & good luck!). i like both for the same reason--such cute innocent sweetness in the dresses (moreso for angelic over meta 'cause meta doesnt have much (great) selection in my opinion, but the good ones really are GREAT hehe). i love hime and sweet loli tooo. ^_^ it is so cute and feminine, childish yet our size, a style, a fashion, a lifestyle! i love it..to be able to emphasize my innocence through what i wear! wahh . i am one of those few teenage girls who is flattered to look 16 rather than my 19 (as opposed to being 19 and looking 25, like some other girls would like). i want to stay a child and i cant but to be able to wear sweet loli--that keeps me pretty happy cause its a visual escape that makes one look adorable and in turn feel adorable. i love bright colors, but the subtle baby/pastel colors of sweet loli make me feel like a kitten, make me coo and wish i could own loads (well, at least one!) sweet loli dress. but i dont own any either nor do i wear the style type often at all. ooh and the art! I love Imai Kira's artwork for AP and Mary Stewart designs. And yes, also to look princess-like. because, you know, every girl is a princess. ^_^ it's true! thanks for the post and enjoy MAF my sweet hime friend :3!

Hi Diana! Ok, Angelic Pretty is very very cute and its one of those brands that you can't just stop staring and staring until your eyes get sore... its just that the dresses are uberly cute. I want AP dresses but I'm not quite sure if its going to fit me right, especially personality wise (I think my character is more on the victorian/classic/hime) style. When I met you, I think AP will really fit you because you're a really fun person to be with and very friendly. I wouldn't mind getting Baby because their style is very lovely like its something romantic but girly. Yep, I really think baby should have an english site though, I have my eye on the AP dresses, I think I'm going to be their first customer once the english site has been released hopefully soon. I would need to buy my dress before Otakon T_T. If I had unlimited disposable income, I would buy from Victorian Maiden and Baby... (and AP) but those two would be my first choice. I would also consider Jesus Diamante (the hime gyaru site) their dresses and shoes are soooo cute. I think for the western contempo: Anna Sui, Betsey Johnson and Jill Stuart will be best semi-look-a-like for Lolita fashion.

I love all lolita brands... I would love to buy AP, but it is all tooooo small for me. Metamoru is really cool too because they have a lot in my size
BUT I am very biased towards BABY. My first JSK was BABY...
Working in the head office of BABY in tokyo makes me a bit biased too LOL
BYW, I'm hoping that the english site goes online ASAP, but alas Mr. Isobe left before I could see him .... and K-san is really going crazy crazy crazy over our little problem (which I may have found a solution too) I just got to get my solution working, then the store will be done soon...

Haha, awesome! A weeaboo is the same thing as wapanese. Basically someone who hails Japan far above anything else, glamorizing it. I don't like the terms, but that's okay. I do use them in joking sometimes haha. :) OTT= Over the top. My favorite types of styles. They're wonderful ^^ Imai Kira is indeed a wonderful artist. :) And yes, every girl is a princess. No one should deny it :) Heehee, You're welcome. You're so nice >.< xD

EEE! I'm a big AP fan too! Mainly because I love the sugary color palette's they use and their cute prints! I also adore how their dresses fit me because they're perfect for my height ( I'm pretty tiny! ) and also how fluffy and cute you feel in them! xxx
