In my case, I want a  courteous respectful man who loves me but understands my need for a certain degree of independence, who is not constantly clinging to me in order to feel secure about my love for him. Someone who I can accept for who he is and who accepts me, and who I can talk to or be comfortably silent with. Someone who understands how family is the most important thing to me, and always comes first.

Garn it changes all the time. I want to be treated better than what I think I deserve. As for what kind of guy he is, I'm really not too picky. I can't have everything I want, cause sometimes there are clashes in personality. I want him to be himself and love himself for who he is, and love me for who I am (and make sure I know it).

First and foremost, I want to be treated like a human being. A person with my own thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. After being in an abusive relationship for 3 years, this has become the most important thing for me.

Aside from that, I'd like my guy to at least show interest in me and the things I like. In return I'll do the same for him and hopefully we'll have some mutual affection and respect.

we go out with mostly the same group of friends, so there's no "you're with your friends again instead of me" drama.

we share interests in music and a lot of other stuff.

as for our other interests we don't share, for instance i'm an otaku and he's not, and he loves online games while i don't.. we just respect each other and leave the other alone with whatever he wants.

he's very close with my family, even we were just starting to date.

he's so much fun to be with, i never get bored with him. we both have the same sick sense of humor, and i like it that he's smart. he always knows how to make laugh.

we tell each other our secrets.

we are very honest with each other, even when it comes to telling stuff that would make me or him mad or jealous. we prefer being honest and working it out, than getting really mad after we eventually find out bad stuff. we're very open even with ex issues. we're kinda like preventing problems from happening rather than fixing a problem that would come our way.

i'm not your typical girlfriend. i'm not the kind who demands to be picked up a school everyday, or be called and texted constantly. not the one who will expect gifts and expensive dates.

i don't like a guy trying to impress me. i want a guy to show his true colors before i agree to get staedy with him. if he can't, then bye bye. that's why when a guy is courting me, i don't like it when he offers a date. i just simply ask him to hang out with me someplace quiet and TALK.

i like it that we aren't scared of showing each other our true selves, and our strengths and weaknesses. we show each other both our good and bad sides.

i like a guy who can cook. :3

he's my polar opposite when it comes to temper. i get mad very easily, yet so hard to calm down, while he's very patient and doesn't take a long time to cool down when he's mad.

he's not overly jealous and protective.

but he always looks out for me which is so sweet. :3

I want to be treated like an equal. I don't think I could stand to have gender roles in my relationships. It would be really hard for me, because I'd constantly have to act tough, and males don't even find that attractive. But the whole point is that I'm not trying to satisfy them, so idk.

I want a guy who loves me no matter what! He should respect me, and I him. I want there to be sparkles when we kiss, I know it's kitchy buuut... cute! x3

I want him to be full of ideas of how you can spend your days together in a funny way when you don't have money.

I want him to be able to go shopping with me, even if he hates it.

First of all, can I say that if a ground rule for a relationship is that your boyfriend can't even talk about other girls ever, then you're not mature or secure enough to handle being with another person. Moving on, I'd say that I'd like to be treated equally, follow the golden rule, but also be forgiving of each others' humanity. These young girls who think they need to be treated like a princess disgust me. If you love someone, you don't put them below you. You don't treat them like a slave. Do you expect your relationship to work out like a fairytale when you're being an unforgiving tyrant? It all comes down to respect, trust, and humanity. If you can't treat someone else with those things, then you have no God-given entitlement to receive them.
