Yesterday I read something that made my skin crawl off. And I really need someone to confirm this and tell me. How does the Twiligt Saga ends? I have read the first book, but that's basically all I know. I didn't continue because I made the mistake to watch the first movie and when trying to go back to the books I just couldn't get these awful images from the movies out of my head so i dropped it....

welll when bella gets turned into a vampire its like she was made for it cause normal newborns would be all bloodthirsty where as bella isnt well jacob doesnt really fall 'in' love with the baby...its the whole i feel i must protect her no matter what thing but yeah bella learns to control her powers which make her and if she chooses everyone else immune to other powers that involve the mind...she then learns to take away the permenant barrier aroubd herself so edward can read her mind...

You see... I read this: “The newspaper headline screams: “Eighteen-Year-Old Slain by Husband after Giving Birth.” As you continue reading, you learn that the young woman was brainwashed by a strange blood-drinking cult who call themselves a “family,” though none of the members were actually related. The young woman’s husband was much older than she and had a history of violence. In fact, you learn that her husband used to stalk her prior to her marriage, watching her secretly from the woods near her home and climbing into an unsecured window at night to watch her sleep without her knowledge. Once the young woman, then seventeen, was initiated into a relationship with the man and his “family,” she was encouraged to marry right after her high school graduation. The young woman reportedly had bruises all over her body after returning from her honeymoon, where she also reportedly became pregnant. Her husband was not happy about the pregnancy and wanted her to have an abortion. She refused, eventually leading to him ripping the child from her womb, then, draining her of her blood until she finally stopped breathing. Sounds torturous and sick, doesn’t it? But in fact, this is the basis of a tween-teen literary phenomenon called the Twilight saga…” — Twilight and Philosophy, p.178 (chapter by Rebecca Housel)

Why would she want to have Edward read her mind? :S
|
I guess, Edward wanted to know what it feels like to listen in what is Bella thinking in her mind so that Edward would hear it. I think in the first book where Edward takes Bella for dinner since her 2 friends "ditch" her and Edward wanted to know how he can listen to Bella's thoughts. Since Edward can only read other peoples' thoughts but not Bella's
