Tokyo Rebel is a Harajuku boutique that sells japanese brands such as Sex Pot Revenge, Hellcat Punks, Putumayo, Maxicimam, Angelic Pretty, and Atelier Pierrot.

 

The shop is dainty, with racks of harajuku "burando" clothing. There is a small glass register with a KERA and Gothic and Lolita Bible magazine stand, and jewerly from handcuff necklaces to lace cuffs.

 

The employees are very friendly, and have to new workers; one is Tara, an SPR punk, and Megan, a Lolita from California. They are kind and help you out if you're looking for something in particular. The sock is a bit pricey, but then again, it's Japan.

 

I highly recommend this store for you New Yorkers out there. It's on Avenue B between 10th and 11th street.

ive whent there like you recomended...they had hardly anything in my size everything was in medium or large NO smalls at all i was so devistated. and i loved so much that was there

Last , July 3, 2010 I went to visit New York city and one of the places I stopped by was Tokyo Rebel.  Tokyo Rebel is a shop where they sell gothic, punk, and lolita items from Japan.  They also have an online shop via http://www.tokyorebel.com/collections/all

My Experience upon visiting Tokyo Rebel:
At first, I realized it is pretty far from the main New York city tourist area such as the time square.  It's about 15-20 minutes train away from it.  But the location is not busy at all.  Make sure to remember how the front of the shop looks like, so you wouldn't be confused.



Then, I went in.  The staff was very friendly, I liked how he is very chill and very helpful when needed. 

The inside of the shop is well-spaced.  When I went to the store there was about 5 people inside and there is a lot of space to look around.  I like how they organized the clothing according to style which makes it easier to look around.  Also, they have sales going on too!

I bought a Sex Pot Revenge leggings with the pink x black x white colors because they look so cool on the magazine.



And they give you Sex Pot Revenge plastic bag too!  How cool is that? 

Comments:  It is really quiet when I went there, I am not quite sure if its always like that.  A little Japanese music might help?!

Overall experience:  I would definitely go back again, the staff is very friendly and their prices are really good!  I mean good!  I got the leggings for $35, and it says 2,900 Yen (almost the same price in Japan). 

I wish I would have bought more things but I am taking public transportation so, it would be very difficult.

When I visit the East Coast, I'm definitely gonna hit up this shop.

I was there in late July, and bought a Putumayo set~ They guy was really helpful as Kyutie said. I'd definitely visit again!
