Painting Plastic Headband

Okay so I bought a plastic as my title has informed. lol
And I want to paint it white, but I don't want the paint to chip off into my hair or whatnot.
So is there a special type of paint? or a fixative I put over it?

I know no paint that works well with plastic :( However i do know a trick how to make the paint get a better grip if your headband has a glossy surface. Use a fine-grained sandpaper to make it matt before you paint it.
