I love the tiered skirt~ That is what I am going to try next. I'll post my dress I made in a little bit... I just finished making it now and am just trimming any loose threads.

and I'd love to see your dress! I want to make my first dress next (and hopefully practice enough to make lolita dresses and jumperskirts), but I need to do two other projects first lol (a skirt for my friend's birthday and alterations on my halloween costume where i'm attempting dark decora)

You are luck, I wish I had some help. It's hard to teach yourself something like sewing, ease stitching has been kicking my bum.
Here is my dress, I was looking for something super simple and fitting for mori style.
This is my second time sewing so it kinda looks like poop


It's a bit more pink irl and has little embroidered butterflys on it that of course my webcam refuses to pick up.
I should have put more thought into the type of fabric. Oh well live and learn.

I like how simple it is--I don't really like some of my fabrics becuase of their dotted designs with difficult-to-match colors, but that's a nice style for a simple fabric. It looks like a good picnic dress.

I want to make a gypsy inspired outfit but the complex patterns have been keeping me from it. I have no idea how to match stuff up... I need to steals someones grandma.
I am hoping to improve though, let me know if you ever have any critiques or tips for improvement (this goes for everyone :D )
I am really hoping by the end of the day being able to post some of the cardi I'm making.

Well I am mostly really scared of gathers and ease stitching. Like your teired skirt looks so perfect. When I try and make something like that I always get them really bunched on one side and almost nothing on the other. How do you get them so even and nice?
