sorry for asking so many questions ^.^"

so i want to buy some sweet lolita things online. but i will probably only have enough for one outfit maybe. do you have to wear lolita everyday to be classified as a lolita? or is it just cosplay if you only wear it like, once a week? beacuse i definitely don't want to be a lolita cosplayer!!!

I am curious about this too. I know i can't wear Lolita everyday due to my job. But i don't want to be classified as just a cosplayer  either. If i could find a job where i could dress Lolita 24-7 that would be amazing. But that is sorta hard to accomplish in my state and city.

If you wear lolita everyday it's called being a lifestyle lolita. (kinda, a lifestyle lolita wears lolita clothes everyday but also listens to lolita music, eats lolita things, has a lolita room, ect.) You can be lolita if you only have a couple outfits. and don't worry about being a cosplay lolita, there is no such thing. I wouldn't say that you should identify yourself as lolita when your not wearing lolita because that can really make other lolitas mad. This site lists all the ways that you can avoid being a "cosplay lolita" http://www.lolitafashion.org/cosplay_lolita.php
For all beginner lolita I can not stress this enough, NEVER say lolita is a costume. It is a style and to say it's a costume is to say we dress like this for attention, and this is not the case. This also might help you find cheaper lolita outfits. http://www.lolitafashion.org/budget_lolita.php

I think you can be a lolita even if you don't dress in it so often. I guess it depends how you look at yourself. Do you consider it to be a costume, then it is, however do you feel like a lolita, then you're a lolita. I find it hard to call it cosplay no matter since you're not going for a specific character anyway (but i guess that's just me).
