my parents say that at 15 it's time to grow up and stop thinking about kiddy things like toys and bear bags and puppy bags and the dresses I wore when I was younger. I don't think it's fair. I wish the american cultural was bit more like the japan in the sense of being a child. they don't find it too weird that a girl in her 20s is dressing like a girl who is below the age of 10. So do you think I'm too old. I don't look old my height just makes me seem older. I'm 5'9. Actually I think I have a cute face. Too old? or just fine the way I am?
Why be ordinary when you can be KAWAII!!!?

I understand what you mean I'm 14 etc but your not, my favorite singer in Ali-Project is 41+ and she's lolita pure so I promise you, your never to old for lolita, decora or Visual Kei. Americans find that people that dress out are wierd or freaky but let them talk, be what you want and be you if I was the people in the crowd and saw you wear that stuff I admire you for it lol

I've seen people in their 50's dress lolita. Lolita is for ALL ages, and I say the older you get the more sophisticated cute things you acquire!! When I was young I liked cheap dollar store crowns and pony beads. Now I like sanrio (hello kitty), San-x, plushies, and, well lolita! Your 15!! I'm 17!! I'd say when you get REALLY old and wrinkly you can tone lolita down a little, like I plan on growing old in aristocrat lolita. Classic lolita is good for former sweet lolitas I'd say but you have like 20 years before this would affect you. Show this to your parents!! You are so not too old!

I'm 21, the bed in my dorm room is covered in stuffed animals and I love getting dressed up. You're never to old for something you love.

You're never to old! NEVER!!!!! Lolita fashion is spreading and you're just part of it. It's a controversial style so expect controversy and don't let it change who you are!!

Your never too old. I agree with you. America is too close minded and believe by 13 you need to grow up and basically loose all excitement in your life, and curious nature that makes you you. They rather you be a walking zombie like everyone else. You should always life your life they way you want to. As long as it's not harming you, or anyone else it shouldn't matter. I am 27. I rock hello kitty everyday. Lolita when i am not working  and having to put on a tan and whatever the zoo shirt is that year. And because i choose to be this way, my family has chosen to accept it, get over themselves and move on with their lives. Cause they know i am happy and there is no changing me.

What is too old anyway? Society hasn't said what age you become specifically too old for anything, I am a 26 yer old mother of 4. I still have all the toys I played with as a child, not just for my children but because I still like them.

I have unusual style, and if I want to dress like I'm 12, I will. I get funny looks and pointing as I live in a small town in South East England, and other parents look down on me due to my fashion sense, but I don't care.

My family have always had to accept my clothes choices, my children love it as they don't know me any other way, and my freinds wouldn't want me any other way. I am not prepared to grow up or dress conventionally to blend in and become more socially acceptable to people who have no idea what style is; conforming is boring, being yourself and having your own style is far more interesting, if other people cannot accept you in the clothes you like, it is their loss.

I am 22 and I have no intention of giving up. Although to be fair I have moved out of my mum's house so she is unaware of what I get up to.
