I have mentioned this before, and have had serious problems with this here on MAF

my co-worker at baby who is trying to bully me has an account here on MAF just to follow my blog.

I want to be able to post more often on my MAF blog, like I did before.  But there are some things I don't WANT her to know.  I know she badmouths me enough when I am not there.  I mean, I hear here badmouth the customers all time.

I know her account on MAF, and I want to be able to ignore it so that she does not have access to read my blogs, or make friends-only posts.

what can I do so that I can feel safe posting here again?

Hi Val,

You can make your profile view and comment for FRIENDS ONLY.  Here's the link where you can check the boxes: http://www.myasianfashion.com/account/settings/account/

When you make your profile friends only, this is how it looks like (example user: cherryblossom):

For blogs, Try using the BULLETIN (not a lot of members use it) but its FRIENDS ONLY that can see your posting.  http://www.myasianfashion.com/account/bulletin When you post on the bulletin, it will show on your activity feed that you have posted (only friends can see it too).

Hope this helps

I want my co-worker, the user "timtim" to stop spying on me.  I want her to not have any access to see my blog posts.  She is really trying to tear me down, and I don't want HER to find out about some of the things I want to write about and discuss freely on MAF like i have before.

Nobody really knows when a bulletins is posted, and  nobody really replies.  Also the replies are all private.  I don't think that is good for the open discussions I want to have, like I had in the past.

That is why I think friends-only blog posts are the best way to go...

I wish she wasn't so damm insecure that she has to do everything to try to tear me down.  I wont fall, no.  I am a million times stronger than her.  But you know there are bullies in Japan.. in schools and in companies.  And she is an insecure bully.  I know she badmouths me when I am not there, and I don't want her to be badmouthing me about some of the things I want to talk about with my friends on MAF.

Speaking of this subject. I wonder, can a member loose it's membership here if they misbehave? Are there any rules for this? If someone is mean to someone is it possible to report this member and have it removed from the site?

Not that i have any trouble with any member. But still it's good to know. The site is growing and you never know when someone jealous shows up breaking our idyll. If we create the rules before they show up than it will be piece a cake to deal with later.

And about that friends only alternative. It's a great idea. I have another one as well. If you have a "block member" option the problem could solve too. If you block a specific member they shouldn't be able to see anything you write, no profile, no blogs, no pics and not see your posts in the forum. That would be a great idea. Because that way you will only punish the one bothersome person and not the shy persons who don't dare to ask for a friend access.

I think that both lolitagirl and Zeruda´s ideas are interesting. I was wondering about blocking users from using MAF, actually. Other forums online have it in case users break rules or troll....I think that being a stalker and bothering members of MAF would qualify for being kicked out of MAF or having their account limited for a time....though of course, if we don´t want to go to that extreme, the "block user" button for a person or the "friends only" option on blog posts, etc. sounds quite good....
