Hi everyone . I'm thinking of getting some brown circle contact lenses to make my eyes look bigger. The only problem is I have a phobia of having things near my eyes . What do contacts feel like? Are they uncomfortable? What is the best website that sells or brand of circle lenses? Thank you all! EDIT 7/7/10: Thank you all for the generous comments but I feel I should post this for anyone else in the future. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has yet to approve of circle lenses and therefore are illigal in the US (yes, illegal) . According to the American Optometric Association, “consumers who purchase lenses without a prescription or without consultation from an eye doctor put themselves at risk of serious bacterial infection, or even significant damage to the eye’s ability to function, with the potential for irreversible sight loss."
While beauty is sometimes pain, I have to wonder if it is worth it? I think I will sit out now and wait until the jury is out.

I was planning to get some of those too~! :D Contacts aren't that bad. The first time you put them in, it feels weird, but you eventually forget you have them on if you keep them moist. as for the best website, I have just been looking lately, so I don't know which is the best site.

It hurts the first time and takes FOREVER! but the more u use them the easier it gets and it doesn't hurt :) and once you have them in you don't feel that you are wearing them :) I wear circle lences almost everyday x3 I bought mine from this site http://www.circlelens2u.com/ It's fast shipping, not so expensive and they last a whole year :) So I recommend this site :D

I use regular contact lenses; not every day, because I´m fond of my glasses, but every once in a while when I feel like it and for special occasions when I don´t want to be bothered by my glasses. I´ve found that the more you use contacts, the more used to you get to putting them in, and taking them out, and the less bothersome they are--you even forget they´re in. Though of course, I always carry eye drops with me, because for some reason, my eyes dry out quicker than other people´s while wearing contacts. I still hate taking them out, though. Some contacts are easier for me to put in but harder to take out, and viceversa, depending on their "stiffness" and the water content and all that. I still haven´t quite gotten the hang of taking them out, truthfully. *sigh* But at least I can put them in really fast now. That took me a while to learn too. Stupid long eyelashes that kept on getting in the way.

I've already tried wearing contact lenses, 2 times, even though it it's mind. the first one I tried was gray, it was freaking itchy (as i very very very very itchy) at first and when you wear it the second time, it will also hurt. wearing contacts will really hurt your eye, you'll be crying becuase of the pain, as experience. then I wore my classmates circle lenses which is bigger than any normal contacts, the circle was black, and as I wore it, it was painful of course, and yes, it will make you eyes bigger like an alien, but very cute.. :) hope this helps!

I've worn normal contacts before. Normal contacts don't hurt at all; if it does though, you'll get used to it by the second time you wear it.I've been thinking of getting circle lenses for a long time too. So far, GEO has the most brown lenses, and are the most comfortable, according to my friends! ^^''Because circle lenses have lower water content compared to normal contact lenses, they can only be worn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time, before they start damaging your eyes. It is also because they have lower water content, they hurt more, as your eyes cannot "breathe" through the lenses, and will cause irritation.
