The first word I'm looking for is a word describing the round wheel you use to navigate a boat. It looks like this: I'm not even sure there IS a word for this thing ^^' Anyone have any suggestions? :)

Oh, that's called a 'Helm'.
It's the precise word for the steering wheel of a ship. The person who takes charge of the helm is called a 'helmsman'.
Yeah, yeah, i read too much...

So I have another question... What is the most correct and ladylike word to name... uhm.... the part of your body your sitting on? :P I watch too much South Park and I don't think any of those words are considered very nice :P Cartman once says the have to say "my behind"... it that correct? We have a super cute name for it in Sweden, mostly used in terms of sewing and very much forgotten among normal people, but I love to use it ^^ (Stuss)

I never knew what derriere meant, I've heard it on the radio. Thanks Junjun. Behind, Bottom

Yep, I´d use "bottom", personally. :P But "deriere" also sounds very ladylike. In Spanish, to make things sound more childish and/or girlish, what we usually do is add a diminutive suffix: -ito, -ita, -ete.....so from the rather crass "culo" (bottom) we can use the much more ladylike "culete". :P

Which reminds me... what with all the suffix talk...."lolita" is "little Lola" in Spanish, as it´s the name Lola (derived from "Dolores" (Pains....what a name to have XD) with the diminutive suffix. Isn´t that a curious thing? Though I´m sure ou girls probably knew that.... And to keep on topic.... What would you call an old-style writing pen, the sort that you used to recharge with ink and had a pointy tip? Fountain pen? Plumiere? Just wondering.

"Behind" is alright. We Canadians prefer "derriere" though.
