what's the "strongest" response you've got from strangers while beeing out in your outstanding outfit of choice? be it lolita, mori, decora, gothic, visual kei, cosplay, uhm.. well. whatever. : D

as for me myself; I once got run over by a gang of little kids on their bikes (I hate bikes DX) while they shouted "EMO!" funny part: they had to stop for red lights before crossing the road, so I catched up to them 3 mins after the biking-attack. they all looked down on the ground, all silent and blushing before the lights switched.

WOW. Well, I have yet to wear anything that people could find really different from normal wear so I have nothing.
Your story made me laugh though. x3

I haven't dressed very visual yet (Visual kei is the style I would like to emulate), but I always try to include some "visual" elements whenever I dress up. And people would ALWAYS say that I'm emo.

I'm already used to it, so I really don't care, because I know that 98% of them haven't even heard of the term "Visual Kei". And it's better to be different than to wear something that 98% of the population of the world also wear. Really, where's your identity?

I just get amused and smirk at their ignorance.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

I think the most extreme reaction I got was this one guy who followed me REALLY closely at the mall and kept saying "isn't it too early to get dressed for Halloween?" and he tried to yank my skirt. D= It was REALLY scary. This is what I wore when he said that by the way:

I think I'm just a really meek person and am easily discouraged by people treating me badly when I'm dressed up. D= I hope that it becomes more easily accepted at some point~

that's seriously scary! D: my first thought reading about this person you descibed was "he must have been dead-drunked!" but as sad as it is - some ppl doesn't even need alcohol to be rude and thoughtless. i mean; that wasn't even just "harmless" (words hurts ALOT) name-calling and expressing my point of view (very loudly and mean); thats SERIOUSLY scary and.. serious haressment even?

it makes me sad to read about your experience Avina! and i hope it doesn't happens all too often, and that you'll even got some really good and kind feedback as well while walking the streets! if you havn't - i'm very sure there where even more ppl who saw you that day that thought you looked really awsume. cuz for all it's worth, that outfit is reaaaally pretty! X3

i agree with you, in the sense that it's so much better to wear what makes you happy and feel good about yourself even if it doesn't fit the mold of the huge mass. identity for the win! but it really (at least for me, i might be weak XD) takes a blow to the heart when people, in a rude or even threathening way, express how they feel that: "YOU. odd, weird and should be CRUSHED like a bug! cuzidon'tunderstandwhattyadoingandit'smakingmeunconfortableandalittlescared .."

The nicest comment i've recieved was "you look absolutely gorgeous you're so cute"
i couldn't stop smiling that day

The WORST comment (and wierdest) is "wtf, did you come to life or something, can you talk?" then there friend said "shes effin odd, look at her" "i know but shes pretty right?"
i stared at this person like i was afriad, cz i flippin was! lool  one minute they're bashing me with abuse then they're saying im pretty
i was pretty upset then
