So true. :D They are very similar, even if it's in different countries. Some of them can be very beautiful though, but warm as a mother... I wore my mom's set once, and I was sweating like a pig. :S
I don't think you mentioned it, but our dresses are also bound to areas. They differ from town to town, and there's an unwritten rule that you shan't wear a dress from a place where you don't have relatives.
If I'd have one from my hometown, this would be my dress.

I still enjoy the east-Asian traditional clothing better though. While our clothing is colourful, it's still just normal clothing people wore back in the days, and doesn't have the same elegance as the asian clothing. I'm going to sew myself a kimono this spring, hehe.
