I was in a cosplay club until just a short while ago. It was just as LaiaMoon was guessing. We all got together and decided upon which cosplays we were going to do. Then we figured out what we needed and split up the responsibilities. When it came time to put everything together it was really fun. We would either be playing an anime in the background or listening to the music. Having photoshoots and taking videos to place up on different sites helped gain us some popularity. Really it is just like any other club that you will find. A bunch of people who enjoy the same things doing what they love! ~

and that aside, I would just like to share this if you are interested you can join Animeleague :) It's an anime community I'm currently in and events such as anime cons, cosplay picnic, random cosplay meet-ups, cosplay holidays etc. are organized regularly especially if you lived in the UK as it's based in the UK but anyone can join in and have fun :D (there are actually so many meet-ups happening my schedule is packed @_@ but then it's expensive to travel so I ended up not going to most of them >.<) I've only joined in at the beginning of this year and since then I've been quite active in cosplaying and going to events, made lots of friends and generally being really social lol.
