7 Year Old Gets Boob Job Voucher

www.huffingtonpost.com - Sarah Burge supposedly gave her 7 year old daughter a voucher to get a boob job (or any other procedure) when she turns 17. IF this is a true story, I feel so sad and disgusted by this 'mother'. What are your thoughts?

I just can’t stop reading this. Its so fresh, so filled with updates that I just didn’t know. I am delighted to see that people are in fact writing about this subject in such a elegant way, presenting us all diverse parts to it. You’re a fine blogger. Please carry on with it.dating compatibility
it's sad how much we put into looks. I mean I'm part of the bandwagon that wants to look attractive and everything. But 7 years old....if the kid wanted it and was older...like 24 ok maybe...but not 7....
This is just disgusting. Period.
I really don't how to respond to this, but...really? I hardly believe that a 7-year has the reading skills to fully comprehend a voucher like that, so why give it to her? Someone her age doesn't even need to think about getting a 'boob-job'; I didn't even know that such a procedure existed until I was 14!! I have to agree with Ameliecafe on this one, why not just deposit money into college savings, rather than something as idiotic as this? It's one thing to make your child aware of these things, it's another to advertise it to her at such a young age.
This is disgusting. Why not give the girl a $10,000 deposit into a savings account for college, so she doesn't grow up to be an idiot like her mother?
I think that Eevee´s right!! I have to many friends that "forces" opinions and belives on their kids which is a constant source creating discussions between some of us parents. I have never tried to get my daughter to like the same things as me and in many respects, we think different. That´s why I´m so greatful she share this anime/manga intressed with me :D
ugh....
but what if she grows up to have naturally big boobs? Or what if she doesn't want big boobs when she gets older?
I don't think plastic surgery inherently a bad thing. But moulding a childs mind to think this is stuff she will automatically need is sick. Same with forcing religion on children. People are too obsessed with creating 'mini-me's'.
bad example!!
I'm sorry to say guys, that this story is real... I saw this in a documentary D: Her mother is a representative for a plastic surgery company, she gets free surgery in order to be some sort of walking advertisement for the company -shudders-
I think this is so wrong!! :( It's like telling her, her body won't be any good even before she grows! If she really wanted to help her daughter she should have waited to when she was 18 and let her make the decision instead of giving her the voucher that says you'll never be perfect. But I think it's fine that she's going to let her daughter watch her next series of treatments. It might change her mind about wanting to get it in the future.
That's...kind of twisted.
It's tacky, but I kind of agree with the mom. I mean my mom has told me that she wont care if I get a boob job and in the future I wont care if my daughter gets one, as long as she needs it. it's not a bad thing, and to deny will only push them closer to it. It's kinda like alcohol. Tell them no and not let them drink some as they grow up, when they are able to drink, they will be partying and such. Let them know about stuff and they won't turn out as bad. With this view point of mine, I agree with her.
What a horrible thing to do to a little girl :( She is growing up in a fake world, and will have tons of problems when she gets older
I heard of this on the news as well. Appaently her mom is called "the human Barbie" (she wants to look like one and gets tons of operations). She gave her child that voucher last year, and this year´s present was a voucher for a liposuction. I fear what that child is becoming and will become, because frankly, being raised by that mother, she´s already showing signs of wanting to follow in her footsteps....
Oh my God...
