I know my roots, so I say Gothic (I know I'll never get away from "dark" styles, and I don't even want to)!
And many different forms of Gyaru, preferably the edgier ones. I highly recommend the japanese magazine Soul Sister!
it was supposed to be "I always get my MOM to bleach my roots", forgot the most important word x-D oops.
Yay for typos!!! lolol It's cool. My mom used to help occasionally but she didn't the last time. I might have to recruit her for when we do it again. lolol
Honestly I couldn't resist reading the whole discussion xD from what I've seen, you all just made your points about what punk is about, I'm not gonna judge anyone of you for something like this lol, don't worry.
I never go to a hairdresser. I always get my to bleach my roots (because that's something I wouldn't want to do alone), she usually also dyes my hair afterwards :)
I don't even think your hair looks awfull! The old color kinda blends with your roots xD I always have a horrible contrast between dark brown roots and the the rest of my bleached hair...
Yeah, I just didn't want you to think that I was some kind of raging psycopath or something. I don't care that you read it. XD :D
The only reason I want to do it proffesionally is because I'm not very good at it. My sister and I dyed our own hair and it turned out pretty sloppy. We missed a lot of places and stuff, ya know. XD
xD you kinda make it sound like I dyed my hair every two weeks! It's not like that, I really only dyed them like once every thwo months when my hair looks awfull as well. My bleach costs ~3€, one pot of Directions costs 6,50€ here..I always buy two pots. So this would be 16€ for one coloring + usually nearly a whole pot of remaining color :) I think that's ok. But I know not everyone is rich... I often use money I don't even have lol;_; good thing I can overdraw my account *cough* xD..
Ok, I already searched for a gallery of yours or something, but I can only find Facebook etc and the picture is a bit small. Hm, how about we add each other :D?
And white hair absolutely rules!
lolol That's what I was asking! I know a lot of people who do dye their hair just about that often. XD Once every two months is pretty awesome. And the cost's pretty awesome too (I had to convert them!! XD ^^;). I looked into just getting my hair proffesionally redyed and it would have been $50. O_O I mean, I'm looking into getting a job, but that's crazy!! XD
Sure, that sounds cool. I'll have to try and do it tonight or tomorow (on the school's comp again), but I will! :) If you wanted to see some pics before then though, there's a forum thread I started I can link you to. Just ignore the big squabble at the end... -_-
I also heard that dry shampoo helps maintain the color. I think this could be true because it's just a kind of powder that removes grease.
However, until now it hasn't been THAT important for me to keep the colors fresh because I change them all the time anyway.
Right now I'm on my way to get silver hair again, and this time I want to keep it as long as possible. I had every color you can imagine now, but silver is my absolute favorite, so I want to "settle down" with it :)
Yeah, I get that. I would love to change colors all the time, but I don't have the money to do it. That's why I have to make my color last as long as I can. The last dye I bought and used did not last long at all before it started to fade and change colors. I don't know if you've seen any of my pics, but it looks AWFUL and I can't afford to redye it. X( I think silver is a very pretty hair color. A friend of mine recently dyed part of his white! lolol
Haha :D but yeah, you know which pic I was talking about!
The colors stay vibrant for like 3-4 weeks, and after that they'll slowly fade. But it depends on a lot of factors... I wash my hair ~3times a week. Also, it's very porous because I bleach my hair to the max before. Some say it lasts longer on damaged hair, some say it doesn't...but from my experience, it really does. By "babying it", do you mean if I had to use special hair care or something xD?
I sometimes mix conditioner with the remaining Directions, it has quite the good effect. Sometimes people asked if I redyed my hair when I only used this conditioner mix :)
Yeah, I do! XD Well, I was told that products like dry shampoos are a really good option for dyed hair because they don't remove colors. Stuff like that and if you had to wash your hair X number of times in a certain time frame or use a special shampoo or redye it every so often, that's what I meant by babying it. 'Cuz dying my hair and keeping the color was a pain... XD
